Community Patch - Modpack (Multiplayer Compatible)

After having heavy desyncs with Patch 12/10 starting from turn 30 and happening nearly once per turn, we updated to 1/3 and it worked like a charm. Desyncs in turn 75, 161, 162, 164, 167, 180, 191, 206, 215, 217, 218, 219 (at this point we stopped playing).

The first two desyncs happened maybe due to me alt-tabbing out of the game.
The De-sync around 217 was due to War which was declared to my friend by the AI. I had a defensive pact and on his computer I was also in War with the AI, but on my computer there was still peace with this AI.

We played 2 human players, 6 AI, Prince, Continent, normal game pace.

Can you give me more information on the desync related to war? Any vassalage involved or anything?

In fact, sometimes the program immediately annexes the cities I capture, without giving me an opportunity to choose what to do with them (as it happened with this city-state). E.g. The same thing happened to another captured city which was previously owned by another civ. It got annexed immediately, and then I was not able to liberate it and give it back to the country that owned it before.

Do you happen to know any magical fixes for these bugs? :rolleyes:
 
Can anyone try starting a LAN game in any of the newer modpack releases (post 10/23)? Trying to start a LAN game brings up a blank "Internet Games" screen instead of the "Local Network Games" screen. Also, hosting a game here uses the internet instead of through LAN. Thanks.

Did you try re-loading the game?

I knkow that the lack of pop-up is a.. pop-up glitch, I noticed it often with EUI when it came to scenarios (namely ITR), I know it carriers over to main game sometimes. It seems to be random but basically it has something to do with how a game handle pop-ups, it breaks the system preventing numerous pop-ups from ever appearing (if you met any city-states you'd notice you don't even get those)

The game just automatically annexes it because you're never given the options.

Regarding the missing city.. no idea. does seem like the game stops updating the map, mines and few other improvements seem to have stopped rendering correctly as well.
 
My friend has been trying to install both versions 12/10 and 1/3, and has crashed in both SP and MP when attempting to settle his first city.]

i've encountered this, some time ago.
i removed every mod from steam (unsubscribe), cleaned manually the MODS folder and then reinstall the last version of cpp/cbp via the installer to fix it.

Aren't you supposed to be able to liberate the city even if it was annexed at first?

I did reload the game and continued playing from that point on. When I captured this same city-state for the second time, it did present me with the options screen and I could liberate it then. Actually, the screen also appeared in 3 other cities that I captured.

Regarding the missing textures: at first I thought that the game stops loading cities when they reach a certain size, but then discovered that my city wasn't the biggest one on the map. This bug seems quite random too.

Updated the modpacks to version 1/3!

Thanks to Gazebo, Ilteroi, whoward69 and Jaii der Herr, the new version comes with the addition of Active AI during multiplayer games (AI will behave like they do in SP and contact the player etc instead of being passive fill-ins) and a bunch of bugfixes and additions!

As far as I know the AI in civ multiplayer is a dumbed down version of the one in singleplayer. Does this mod fix this issue?
 
He's already done a verify, then a full reinstall of the game.

I've encountered the same bug long ago! I really don't remember if there was anything specific you could do to fix it, but it was gone in one of the following versions of the CP.

1. You only get one chance (at the pop-up) to liberate cities.

2. It's an odd pop-up related glitch, has a simple fix :)

3. ITR = Into The Renaissance. EUI glitches it with the same bug for some reason. I dont know the exact but it's related to how the game mishandles pop-up blocking future pop-ups completely until you re-load the save.
 
Can someone confirm or acknowledge this is a bug? There is no way to start a LAN game in the newer modpack releases.
This is very easy to test and takes less than a minute to confirm.

1. Start steam (preferably offline to fully test this), then run the game.
2. In multiplayer game menu, choose the LAN option.

You will be taken to a blank "Internet Games" screen. If you are online and try to host a game here, it will use the internet.
If you are offline, you will get an error.

In the default game and earlier modpack releases, selecting the LAN option would take you to the proper "Local Network Games" screen. You would then be able to join or host a LAN game from here.

There doesn't seem to be any way to get to this screen in newer modpack releases. It seems like the problem is caused by the Community Patch CvGameCore_Expansion2.dll in modpack releases after 10/23.

If someone can take a minute to confirm or acknowledge this bug, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
 
Can confirm, it also happens with the latest VMC, which is included in the CP.

I posted it in the VMC-thread, maybe whoward69 can have a look at it and solve it. (since the VMC is most likely the origin)
 
Is it possible to make xml/sql changes to this modpack, or do I need to make the changes to the CPP and then make my own modpack with it?

Edit: Tried creating my own modpack but CSD, C4DF, and More Luxuries didn't seem to get put in the modpack. CP, CBP, and my other mods are intact. Is there something obvious I'm forgetting?

Hey guys, I got a question that isn't exactly on topic, but...

Where can I find ppl to play this modpack with? :)
Maybe there is a discussion forum about that somewhere or smth like that?
