I agree, but its great for college applications.

hey if they can get kids to go out and volunteer, good for them. volunteer rates would probably fall quite a bit if not for colleges. They've become a driving force for good, don't fault them for that.

It's not really volunteering if it is mandatory for anything. It's working the system maybe, but not volunteering.

Do some stuff with th anti cruelty shelter for animals. Thats easy.

Do community work for the old folks home, they always need help and it easily takes up 10hrs just doing the cleaning up and you might even learn something.
