Are there any good posts / videos demonstrating a composite bow rush on immortal or deity? Thanks :)

ON immortal and Deity, I would not think of such an early rush. The AI plays strongly and gets bonuses - for example, on Deity every AI player gets a few military units, a worker, and an extra settler while you get only a settler and a warrior.

In one Deity game as Babylon, when Ethiopia DOW'ed me I managed to destroy (could not capture in an OCC game) their city with 6 Bowmen and a Spearman by defeating their initial rush and pressing forward with the units I had. Than can be considered a rush I guess...

Not much quality is needed for this really. As long as you have decent terrain advantage and build 6CBs it's good enough for Immortal and even Deity as long as their city don't get 20+ def. On Deity, AI have more units which is actually a good thing since you can get XP faster for a GG. More gold for the peace treaty, etc. Have either some rough terrain warriors or spearmen for meat shield/last hitting. Or while you clear off their neverending waves of warriors/spearmen get iron working and use swordsman as meat shield.

An example of terrain against you would be a hilled city surrounded by jungle/forest hills while the next ring is open terrain. Worst terrain ever, imo.

Under my signature(Tradition 4 cities). I made a short vid at immortal doing a CBs rush in 60 turns. Been a while of this, that game was far from perfect(i've done way better rushes but not recorded anything else yet).

Cool. Would you say England is well suited to this as well as China? The longbow has a good reputation.

well, no more 'good' than every other civ since the Longbow/CKN come at a later tech/unit.

The Incans might be good at it due to the slingers keeping the retreat promotion when upgraded.

Mayans can rely on just the pyramids (sometimes with a pantheon) for their science and get there reasonably quickly.

The benefit to England and China would be upgrading the compound bows to their UU when you reach the necessary tech. Then you can continue your charge...

I've repelled a hunnic attack on immortal with 4 archers, upgraded them ro CBs and took his capital. The hardest part was to keep my warrior (!) out of harm's way to deliver the final blow.
I have yet to try a deity game.

Currently playing as England on Deity. Attacked by Ottoman spearman/archer/catapult force, 12 units total. Repelled & then crushed them with 4 composite bows, then drove them across the plains back to their own cities, and took their smallest city (with a scout!). Upgraded piece by piece to longbows, but it's hard going- the Ottomans now have janissaries and trebuchets. My attack is stalled, and I'm looking for a way out of this war.

Keep in mind, I've never won on Deity. I've reloaded this game twice, trying to figure out a better strateegery. My latest thought is to buy an alliance with a City State adjacent to the Ottomans, and see if their gatling guns can distract the Ottomans long enough for me to eliminate them.
