World Wide News
With Dana Werback and Jan Patchouli
Hot news, great breakthrough in Iraq, Guinea-Bissau officially declared bankrupt, situation in Sudan is getting out of control and more. I am Dana Werback, and I am Jan Patchouli.
First we start with the headline that China and Russia signed an alliance to strengthen their powers, though that they can easy do without their united support they thought that they should combine forces, We are going to a live report in Moscow where Peter Kostenko can tell us more of the alliance.
Thank you Dana, this is an image of Putin together with the president of China Hu Jintao, where we can see how close they are. This is not just a friendly visit no this is a declaration of Alliance-ship. Two world powers combined. This is how the pact looks like:
Sino-Russo Mutual Friendship and Cooperation Pact:
1. Strengthening mutual trust and good-neighborliness and friendship among China and Russia
2. Developing their effective cooperation in political affairs, the economy and trade, military and defence, science and technology, culture, education, energy, transportation, environmental protection and other fields;
3. Working together to maintain regional peace, security and stability;as well as mutual defence
4. Promoting the creation of a new international political and economic order
5.Respect for each other's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, non-interference in each other's internal affairs, mutual non-use or threat of use of force;
Though the American government has not officially gave a comment, some politicians have already said that this pact should be destroyed for the sake of the world safety, other nations like Iran is not that shivery about this pact and calls it a farce and that it will blow in their faces in no time.
Thank you Peter Kostenko for your view in this matter.
And we are going to the other news that shocked the world. China has attacked Taiwan. The news has been spread by government officials of Italy who where their on a visit. It doesnt come as a surprise because China feels that Taiwan is a province of China. Taiwan though wishes to keep their autonomy.
We are going live to a reporter in Tokyo, Japan Eri Takase,
Eri Takase how is the situation in Japan, because Japan is not so far away from China and we obviously think that Japan should be feared to.
Well Jan, the situation here in Tokyo is indeed very tense. But the government doesnt think that it is a plan of China to invade Japan to. It hasnt been a secret that China hates Taiwan and that it feels that it belongs to the country but we have never expected to happen this soon in Japan.
Thank you Eri Takase for your comment.
Kofi Annan is disappointed about the current status of the International Worldbank, he said in an interview that he has given in the Netherlands that he is shocked by the way that current governments not have been given any strong support and ecopoints to the bank. China has already said that in this current situation they cannot miss any ecopoints. Kofi Annan hopes that this situation will change in a short period of time. Though Kofi Annan is not all that hopeless with the situation of the International Worldbank, he is glad that Guinea-Bissau will become as he says stronger after this bankruptcy. Though the Worldbank is still viewing the situation of Guinea-Bissau, Kofi Annan thinks that it will be an effort of time before the country will take place in the world economy.
And a great breakthrough in Iraq, for the woman in Iraq has got the permit to vote.
The new situation in Iraq has made it possible for woman to come up for their rights. Many woman-activists are ecstatic about the fact that woman in Iraq may vote for things like a new president or a new mayor. It is one of the first countrys in the Middle-East where woman get such a right.
Greta Duisenberg of Woman of the World says that we must not cheer too early because it stays a fact that Iraqi man are not really happy with this right and that they will forbid their wives or sister to vote.
Situation in Sudan is getting out of control.
This was untill yesterday....when I allready though ok this one is dead.....it could have been fun....but anyways..
