Constitution Discussion : Article C, form of Government

This is our fairly standard form of government article. There were some comments on whether we want to stick with it, please discuss!

Article C.  The government will consist of the Executive Branch, 
            Legislative Branch and Judicial Branch.

I thought the legislative branch consisted of the Govenors who acted like the senate. I disagree on removing the legislative branch of the government.

they dont have anything to do now that the minister of finace is brought into the demogame, but mayb they could override a single governor's queue when they believe it wouldnt help the nation

Should the govenors at least act like senators when a law is going to be passed? Much like the US Senate does.

mayb new laws should be passed by congress and also the congress could take care of build queues for a governor when he gone/there is no governor

Ill draw up some ideas for a congress for the demogame. I have to make sure that there are enough checks and ballances though .

I dont believe the legislative branch should be dropped.

*on a side note however* how close are we to completing the constitutional talks before we actually start the game, this constitutional talk while i admit needs to be done(maybe not in such detail) but it is definately turning of new people to the demogame.

And who is Congress? The citizens. So why have a branch of goverment made up of all citizens? It makes no sense.

And if a governor does not post instructions, then the DP decides.

The Legislative is the people. This is a democracy, and thus they should have a rather large part in the government. Giving them a whole branch seems fair. They have everything to do, because they are the demo in demogame.

as you see, the legistlature was made up of the congress(people) and senate(governors)

Well, contrary to the impression giving by most countries, one-house legislatures do exist. If the legislative is dissolved, than the people have no part in the government, and we have an oligarchy.

that is a good point, why state the branches when we will define them in the articles to follow?

I've never seen a branch doing something; just offices and citizens.

I thought branches are just definitions for a specific offices like the Ministries are in the Executive and the Judges are in the Judicary.
