Hello

First of all, my English is not very well ;)

I Played on the Amazonial Map i downloaded it here, I had 40-50 Cities and suddenly der Corruption was very high! On a City that produces 12 Shields, 10 where corrupted and this City was not Far Away from my Capitol maybe 10-12 tiles, before it has a good Production, only 1-2 Shields where Corrupted.

How can i solve the Problem or it is a bug ? I never saw that before!

Sounds like you are over the OCN (optimal city number) and a solution i believe would be to change government to one that has a higher OCN....

did you build cities closer to the capitol after founding the corrupt city? For every city that is closer to the capitol, corruption will rise.

hmm there are a plenty of cities now with high corruption my government is at democracy

The Map is 170x170

If you have access to it, switch to Communsim. The communal corruption is best if you have far exceeded the OCN.

I think it is the "OCN" and i said that i downloaded the map here. the tech costs are normal i think it takes 6-12 rounds for a tech but that depends on the map ...

mh on that map the ocn is 14 and the tech rate is 160 is that okay ? but when it says 14 cities why has the corruption startet when i owned 40-50 cities ?

14 for all world sizes, from tiny to huge? In any case, "14" is wrong for a user-made map.

An OCN of 14 and a tech rate of 160 for a map that's bigger as huge will result in a way to high corruption, and far too cheap techs.

Let me rephrase the map size bug:
  1. For the randomly generated maps, there is a specific OCN and tech rate for every world size. The smaller the world, the smaller are both, resultion in more corruption, and nevertheless a comparable tech progress. Those rates are well balanced, no problems here.
  2. In C3C (not in VC3/PtW) a bug appeared: The game cannot recognize map sizes correctly. If you start any costum map, the game simply pickes the size-related settings according to the last random map you started (those settings are stored in the .ini file). This problem affects the Firaxis' Conquests as well, btw.
  3. Any mapmakers aware of that problem can simply avoid it by using the same OCN/ tech rate for all world sizes. Unfortunately, most maps around are not fixed.
  4. Without fiddling with the editor, the easiest way to handle that is: Before you start the next game with that map, start a random huge map before. That way, your game will use the settings for huge (160x160); close enough to work well. That also is the reason why you rarely notice it for the C3C conquests, they are all about standard size.
  5. Once the game is started, the settings are stored in the save. And no, you cannot change anything for a game already running. You need to start a new one.
