Industrial Ages.
The free tech was Nationalism, not the best but still necessary for aquiring the Intelligence Agency. Research orders: <Steam Power> <Industrialisation> <Corporation> <Electricity> <Replaceable Parts> <Medicine> <Scientific Method> <Sanitation> <Espionage>. Building orders: JS Bach, factory, coalplant, Magelhan's, Universal Suffrage, Wall Street, Theory of Evolution and Intelligence Agency. After researching Steam Power I had the biggest break in the game: G L O R I A I have coal in my little empire. If I hadn't I would have to gift the AI forward because there is no way to get a fast 20K without rails, factory and coalplant. 5 Cities in the empire are ordered to build banks and stock exchanges (for Wall Street) and hospitals (for Battlefield Medicine). In this stage of the game money is plentyful, so I can rush anything that needs rushing. Cheju, which is founded on top of the iron, starts building Hoover Dam. This to prevent the AI from getting it and to replace the polluting coalplant in Seoul.
After replaceable parts the MI are upgraded to Guerilla and more get build. The pikeman and the archer are used for rushing the factory and the coalplant. Slowly I can stop fearing an attack by the AI. I don't have rubber or oil but that doesn't bother me, it's only for military use. I don't have warplans and someday I will be able to trade for it. While building Battlefield Medicine we leave the Industrial Ages.
Modern Times
Battlefield Medicine has only 1 culture for 500 shields, so I used it as a pre-build for United Nations. Ofcourse I didn't know what my free MT-tech would be. Should I have got Ecology or Rocketry then I had to finish Battlefield Medicine. Luckaly I got Fission. As expected there is no uranium to be found in my small empire, so no Manhattan Project. I don't mind missing out on Manhattan as it has 1 culture for 400 shields. Research orders are <Computers> <Miniturization> <Genetics>. Building orders: United Nations, research lab, Internet, SETI, Cure for Cancer and Longevity.
I squeeze in some production enhancing improvements: offshore platform and manufactoring plant. Now that the strain on getting wonders asap somewhat lessens I hurry a market and a commercial dock also in Seoul. After Longevity only Battlefield Medicine can be build (I don't have the aluminum for Apollo). Last build is mass transit system. In 1750 Seoul decides to take a day off and switches to wealth.

Hereby a picture of Seoul and the Korean empire from 1 turn before the end.
Seoul is maxed out on beakers and as one can see, it's making quite some money on tourism.
