Citizens of Yasutan. I call you here to discuss further expanding our government structure with the creation of additional offices. I have heard the people speak the need of additional offices, so I bring you all here to discuss what offices the people believe we are in need of.

you're on fire!

I think time will come down to create foreign affairs and science office by itself.

but i may be totally off but a public works office to manage workers when we'll have plenty (like in 500 AD ) and will need to chop/build fast. Sure each city can run its own worker but if it takes 12 turns to make a cottage we should group them so it takes 4 turns so the city can profit from it earlier.

At least I think Domestic should be added, and I describe the position as follows...

Domestic - Helps to Organize Elders to fulfill National interests. In charge of Workers and Settlers.

I like your proposal, not just the office, but it's responsibilities too.

I would also like to make it clear, at least how I see this Domestic office, their responsibility to Organize the elders does not give them the authority to overrule decisions of the Elders. The Domestic office is intended to guide the Elders not take over for them.

I'm not convinced myself that we need it already but I want to propose an Intelligence Office. When we get involved in a war it may benefit for everyone to have one office that just presents tactical information.

And just for fun: how about a Statistics Office?

An intelligence office would proberly be best later on

At this early stage of the game I don't believe an Intelligence office is needed. Later on yes, but for now no IMO.

In fact I could put the info on other countries strength in the information office if you want

No, I think one person should be able to handle only 3 AI's. He is free to appoint ambassadors if he wishes though.

In my mind, organizing means getting the people to decide what we want, and making sure the combined efforts of all our cities results in producing things that our tribe needs. Sure, we might not want to "overrule" an Elder in the form of posting higher priority instructions. However, should an Elder not volunarily work within the plan, I would expect this official to use polling etc. to make it happen.

What you describe is about what I have in mind. Though, I want to avoid constant polling to override elders instructions on minor things.
