Worker actions require a lot of coordination between the Chieftain and the Elders. This thread is for focussed discussion on the way we want to use our workers.

This is a Council Thread, this thread is open for discussion for all citizens, officials are adviced to post with the name of their office in the post title.

I suggest roading the silver tile after the silver mine, so that its connected to our cities, prior to leaving this tile.

From my understanding of the COUNCIL: City Specialization thread and Robboo's own words, FH will be a science/commerce city. I suggest at least one of the workers start on a grass river cottage after the gold hill mine. I also agree on speeding up the library, as we need the cultural expansion to grab the other gold tile. I don't think we should chop more than one forest though, as they could be used for either the GL or Oxford.

Agree about workers 1 and 2.
But worker 3 should run to 88 (2 north) from NotA and begin a road to speed
military (that come from NotA,not FH) to 3rd city.
Nothing wrong with your plan, but things can become hot there, and better
show Napoleon we are not a cake.
Best regards,

Isn't it on a river, or am I losing my mind?

About FH, cottaging 1 grassland forest should do.

I wouldn't make another office, the problem is not that no-one is in charge now, the problem is that multiple people (all elders) should be involved in the discussion. Adding another office will only make even more people involved.

I would agree that another office isn't needed, looking at the cities it seems that NoneOfTheAbove will be good for a few growths working the forested grassland, therefore the worker on the silver can be dispatched to build a road to the new city as suggested by Fed, as France is looking more concerning now.

I would suggest that the workers around Falcon's Haven move to the forest sw of the city and chop it, possibly building a farm (I believe it would be more productive to work the gold hill and maintain 2 surplus food than to make a cottage) After that is complete they will be in a great spot to connect the stone to the road between NoTA and FH in case we decide to build one of the early wonders.

It is, but you still have to road the tile the silver is on and connect the silver to the river.

Actually that's not correct, resources connect if they are adjacent to a river square, you don't actually need a road, if you look in the most recent save you'll note that the gold near Falcon's Haven does not have a road on it, however if you look in one of the city screens you'll also see that gold is available in that city. We can use this feature to avoid a few turns of worker action by carefully selecting where our roads go.

Also if you hover on the silver after the mine completes, it will show if a connection is needed. A conditional instruction could be used -- if it shows a connection is needed then road, else move.

I'd like a plains hill mine, and a grassland hill mine.

Currently our workers are occupied with these tasks:
  • Worker #1: Near NotA. Building a mine (complete in 3 turns)
  • Worker #2: Near FH. Working on a cottage (complete in 3 turns)
  • Worker #3: Near FH. Not tasked

So far the requests are:
  • NoneOfTheAbove: Finish the plains hill mine and start on a grass hills mine.
  • Falcon's Haven: Farm river tiles, with possible gold mining.
  • Gold+Cows: No requests.

We have three workers and three cities, in what way would be best for our empire to allot our workers amongst our empire?

1 worker per city. That is what I do in the early part of my games. Maybe build 1 more worker for trade network (connect resources and build roads).

I think the first order of business should be to put a pasture around those cows in cows+gold (city 3) so that we can increase it's production without sacrificing our growth rate.

I thought I have sent in a request for the worker by the Gold+Cows.

Now that borders are expanded, it would be nice to be able to have a 2nd gold mine at EA. Also NotA would benefit from another hill forest mine, especially if we decide to build the Oracle.

Also I think Robboo was requesting more Irrigated Grasslands around EA.
