Cowardice in battle

War is a crime against humanity. Normally you punish criminals. To shoot people who don't want to commit a crime is...I can't find the right word for it. I am against death penalty of all sorts. I just can't believe there are people like VC out there who actually think honor is dying for his country. It's not cowardice running away from the front lines. By running away you tell the world that you think that this is wrong, that you don't want to fight. People get killed in a war, for Santa's sake! Who wants to die?

War has not been at any stage made a crime in its entire scope, and is often necessary and utterly righteous.
More a matter of being willing to, rather than wanting to. The former makes a useful individual, the latter is a much less useful suicide
