Crash in CIV 4 BtS

Hi

A friend and I are playing CIV 4 BTS 3.19 in Play By Email mode but the program crashes,
The crash occuers when we have build the first part of the spaceship and press exit on the spaceship screen. The we recieve an error from windows that the program had made an error and is shut down with the following info.

AppName: civ4beyondsword.exe AppVer: 3.1.9.0 ModName: cvgamecoredll.dll
ModVer: 3.1.7.0 Offset: 001a3b9c

We are running windows xp and it is fully updated and the driver for the grafic card is updated as well.

Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

We have tried to reinstall and nothing helps.

unfortunately this is a rather generic problem - it is possible that its due to some obscure bug - are you certain all drivers are updated? Crashes are most often due to graphics drivers. Also could you post the complete error message?

I've just started experiencing the same problem, but using the hotseat mode (running Win XP). I uninstalled Civ 4 BTS and Vanilla, then reinstalled and updated to the newest version (3.19). Same for the graphics card (nVidia 8400 GS driver version 258.96). The problem persists. How do I get a more detailed error (or if someone already knows a fix, I think I could manage with that, too)?

Crashes here after a while while playing single player in windows 7 64 bit. If I load the last save it will play a little while longer then crash again.
