Chieftain
Hi all,
I have researched some of the DX9 vs. DX10.1/11 debate, so I believe that my problem may be due to my system specs, but I would like an expert opinion, if it can be had...
Dell XPS M1530
Windows 7 32-Bit, build 7600
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz
3 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT (1.5 GB video RAM, DirectX 10.0 supported)
I have played about 75 turns, with graphics mostly set on medium, AA is off. I decided to buy tiles in my capital, so I purchase one that is say, two tiles from my city? I buy a second one that is further. Game then zooms out within the city screen to accommodate the larger city radius. Video card promptly crashes.
When I do this in DX9, it works flawlessly. Obviously, this would point to the solution that I should use DX9, but I wanted to double check that DX10/11 really means DX10.1/11.
Also, I had trouble playing dual monitors in DX9 - anyone else?
Thanks
