lol funny story....

so my computer crashed a week ago and now its fixed

when i went to the computer preforals to get it fixed they said "we will need to double the memory to install the new harddrive"

that....was for free

Mmk, whoever those guys that were working there...im betting they did a lot of favors to get that job because they are as computer literate as a doorknob. Memory is RAM, which your computer uses to store data temporarily while its working with it. HD space is exactly that, its space on the hard drive. The two are usually in no way related besides that RAM might dump onto the HD and that they are usually in the same box when you have a computer. Upgrading memory really does nothing for the HD, except maybe remove some bottlenecks that your HD might create if its slow ( and old)
Doubling the memory though, will do absolutely nothing for it.

So here's a question, how much did they charge you?

And the moral: those guys are dummies.

Erm, are you sure that they add another RAM or just double your virtual memory?

Nothing is free though, unless your pc is old and there's some old RAM rotting somewhere.

we got double the STORAGE
but for Ram, it seems like i have more

the pc is a xp, so vista out dated it

im scared to open the letter i got from them today.....
