Any Ideas?

Thanks:(:(:(

May want to test your RAM and check your drivers are up to date.

Exception Code: c0000005 indicates the program tried to access some memory that is not there.

Hi Kiwitt.

What is the best way to check the RAM?

Drivers are 100% up to date.

This is on a PC I built myself for Christmas:

Phenon II X4 965
8GB DDR3 (Crucial)
ASUS Radeon HD 6870.

Loaded up a few saves now (to do different things to see if I can avoid crash) and it doesn't crash at the same point, only 'around' the same point. Makes me think something in game is happening.

I tested my memory with Windows 7 diagnostic tool before Windows starts and no errors were found.

Are you running x64 mode. This is what I run on mine. It gives a 4 GB of RAM just for Civ 4, if you have the BTS version. You could be hitting the memory limit.

Are you playing "mod" or a standard game.

You could also try testing with memtest86+ (www.memtest.org).

If the crash happens always at the same time after you load that one save, i'm more inclined it's a bug. If you upload that save (either here or in Rom/AnD forum) other people could try if it crashes on their system too.

Hi Mate,

Sorry, don't follow the above exactly.

Do you mean am I running 64 bit Windows? If so, YES, I am running Win 7 X64.

It is aMod: Rise of Mankind New Dawn Game.

If I start the save and do something dramatic (like declare war etc) I may get an extra year or something like that, but it is more or less around the same time, not exact date though.

Will upload in AnD forum.

Thanks for help!

Have you tried posting in http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=372884

It could simply be a problem with the Mod as opposed to a "generic" problem with Civ 4 itself. Mods are different to the base game and can make changes to the software code (i.e. the DLL) and it could be the cause.
