CRC error with patch?!!?!?

WHAT THE HELL.

Why did I spend 50 dollars on this POS? The patch that is supposed to fix the game say that my civ.exe has CRC errors and is broken. Well no f$%king sh%^ its broken -- thats why I need a patch. So the .exe file I have installed directly from the CD has CRC errors? Did anyone else have this pop up?

This game is so badly made its funny. CDs mislabled, graphics crashes, memory leaks, patches that are released/recalled and then still suck.

When i install the patch it comes up with program files\civ4\civilization4.exe doesn't match the file in the setups .cab file. I uninstalled and reinstalled and the exact same problem .

Same here. I spent three hours downloading the patch (stupid dial-up!). Maybe the downloads got interrupted, and some file went missing?

I got the CRC error too but I chose the "Ignore" option and it continued to install. All seems well so far. I've not had a CTD since installing the patch, save games load faster and scrolling around the map seems smoother.
