first off - despite rumors to the contrary - Blizzard's EULA, ToS etc. allow fan use of their content up to & including "total conversion" (their wording) of their games - as long as proper credit is given.

There are tools such as WMV (WoW Model Viewer) for extracting models. In the Steam Workshop there are models for Garry's Mod. i'm specifically interested in adding a couple of Pandaren to the existing Panda units (made by Kinboat iirc). I don't know much about the practicalities of converting something like these to Civ3 units.

I'm not asking anyone to make units. Just looking for advice from experienced unit makers on how feasible it would be, what software would be involved, etc.

NB: as far as I can tell none of Kinboat's Panda units are currently
in the resources download collection.
It certainly looks that way. Thankfully the download links in the Unit Graphics threads seem to work:

Edit: It feels surreal that it has been 16 years since the release of Kinboat's first panda!
