Here we go again

A poster wishes to publish an article explaining the ins and outs of cheating in PBEM.To shed light on mold so that it might die.
Now,my opinion is it would be ok but I'm not currently involved in PBEM so I'd like your input.

Should such an article be allowed or not?

NO!
IMO, most honest players have already learned to look out for cheating from their past experiance, and there's no call for such a document. Cheating has been remarkably low in the last few months, and I see no reason to throw petrol on the ashes by allowing someone to post an article about something which isn't a major problem these days. All it will do is encourage and assist the idiot 15 year old idiots who get their kicks out of spoiling everyone elses enjoyment.

Anyway, we had a discussion on this last year, and it got very ugly. Slowthinker ended up being banned, and nobody (myself included) came out of the debate without damage. Let's let sleeping dogs lie.

Just out of curiosity, was it Slowthinker that asked to post that? Coincidentally he just started another ****storm over at Apolyton about the same thing.

I was here last year and remember well.It was the beginning of the end for Sun.
I think I am now leaning you guy's way.Why stir the pot?..things seem to running well here in PBEM.

Ditto! Even an INFO age challenged guy like me figured out enough ploys to bust a couple of cheaters. I say we let sleeping dogs lie.
