Russia will use a Peace Envoy if Tehran is regarrisoned by the time her Special Forces are ready to enter the city. If the city is ungarrisoned, then there is no difference in regards to civilian casualties. These terrorists are known for massacring about 10,000 civilians whether cities are turned over peacefully or not.
If it is decided that using a Peace Envoy would be the best option, then Russia would welcome aid from the UN to finance the training of the envoy, and the cost of peacefully securing the city (ooc: bribing).

Aid from any nation wishing to attack the Iranian bases in the south of the country may do so, after Tehran is secured, our intelligence sources estimate that most if not all of the Iranian army units stationed throughout Iran will desert, so the only real targets will be the major bases.

Russia informs India that it may feel free to ask for Russian support against any Taliban forces.

New Eurofighter Enters Production

Military experts have hailed the new Eurofighter as the most technologicaly advanced aircraft in the world. It is at keast the equal of the new F-22 Raptor recently unvieled by the USAF. yet significantly cheaper to manufacture. President Kurkov Announces "Perestroika II"
While awaiting a new constitution for a reformed government, President Kurkov announced that he had painstakingly poured over the construction projects of dozens of major cities, and ordered new projects begun that would aid Russia as it undergoes this transition. All of the cities were said to be producing Consumer Goods under a program believed to be started be Kurkov's predecessor. Now these cities are in many cases building Universities, Power Plants, and Freights as these things will set the foundation for a Russian economic recovery, according to Mr. Kurkov.

Under peaceful circumstances, China united the little island of Taiwan back under Chinese administration. This peaceful reunion is belived to bring stability to the region, stopping all forms of violence between the two neighbours.

Sri Lanka- The city of Colombo in Sri Lanka is now rubble. Tens of thousands of innocent citizens were slaughtered in a massive European airstrike. We demand that European Leaders be put on trial in The Hague for war crimes. We also demand that the European carrier nearby withdraw immediatey. All European units must be out of Indian regions within a month.

We only ask one question: Why do such a thing?

China is also concerned about the US military build up in the South-Chinese Ocean. What is your intention mr. President? We see this as an insult and a threat against the Chinese heartland. We demand that you will withdraw, only then can we initiate talks of an independant Taiwan.

Oh, yeah, that,

I accidentaly did that in my turn, I didn't notice it was a size 1 city when I attacked it. Then when I posted the turn I was very tired and only posted what I could vaguley remember. The EU is willing to provide a team of engineers to help reconstruct the city.

Special news update regarding the Taiwan crisis!

Today at 20:00 AST president Pavlov went on the air and held a speech to the nation. This action was prompted by the Chinese invasion of Taiwan. Here's a transcript of the speech:

"Good evening, my fellow Americans. You are probably aware of the Chinese invasion if Taiwan, that occured just days ago. The USA have always made it clear that we will stand up for the Taiwanese people. Some may say that this is none of our business, it's too far away. But we are the United states of America. When atrocities are being committed, that is our business. When independent nations are overrun, that is our business. When freedom itself is threatened, that is our business.

I still believe that the pen is mightier than the sword. That is why we have not attacked Chinese forces on Taiwan but instead we will try and solve this problem in a peaceful way. Our goal is clear however, Taiwan will remain free.

Good night, and God bless America"

"Good day, ladies and gentlemen.

We have always been in favour of peaceful solutions to problems. That is true this time as well. We have a simple message to Beijing, you might call it a promise. To show our good intentions naval forces in the Pacific have distanced themselves from China. And just for the record, we see your invasion of Taiwan as an insult so large that the fact that US units patrol international waters pale in comparison.

Now this is the message: We want the immediate withdrawal of Chinese forces from Taiwan. Failure to do so will be viewed as a direct declaration of war against the United states of America. It's your choice. War or peace.

We're not trying to create a new Cold War situation, or a third World War, quite the opposite. But remember this, we won the last Cold War, we won the last World War. But this is 1998, not 1939. We do not want another war, but if you choose to disregard our wishes then we will take action.

To Russia and India: The United States and the world would like to know your opinion on this issue.

Message to: President Ohwelao

The tragedy on Sri Lanka leaves no one unmoved. However we must remember that in war, mistakes happen. This particular mistake was one of large magnitude unfortunately. We are sure that the EU would never purposely target civilians and that they will conduct a thorough investigation to deduce who or what was responsible for this tragic mistake. If one is needed, we are willing to send an engineer batallion to Sri Lanka.

Regarding the Taiwanese issue...


We respect the Chinese actions in taking back rightful Chinese territory. However we would have much prefered them proclaiming their will to diplomatically take the island back with envoys, and say it in advance. We would wish that the Chinese be allowed to keep the island.

Russia agrees with India, it's a shame that Taiwan was taken by force, but it's not worth a great power war. Perhaps if China agreed to make Taiwan a demilitarized zone that would be acceptible?

President Mordhiem suggests that Taiwan could be held under the supervision of another nation which has no intrest in the matter. The EU siggests Russia as the fairest candidate? During the intervening period, the UN security council could decide Taiwan's fate.

President Pavlov finds the European proposal more than acceptable and agrees to it gladly. It would defuse the conflict, giving time for discussion.

OCSE set up in London

A new Organisation for the Security and Co-operation of Europe has been set up in London. It's aims are to better co-ordinate European defense programs and to write up a universal European foreign policy. It has already been a great success and is expected to be one of the pillars of European defense for years to come.

Falklands De-militarised

The final squadron of F-16's left their bases in the Falklands yesterday amid a mixture of cheering and crying from the populace as they left. Although the majority Falkland Islanders were firmly against de-militarisation of the region, the EUAF thought it best if the squadron was relocated elsewhere to attend more pressing concerns.

European Scientists Appaled at Global Pollution Levels

A team of European scientists at the University of Hamburg have expressed their grave concern over industrial pollution levels in certain areas. The EU has always had an immpecable enviromental record and has a policy of sending engineer teams o clean up areas at the first sign of any damage, but apparently other countries do not hold to the same standards. Proffesor Karl Schmetzburg, who is leading the research project, says the studies show massive levels of pollution near Khabarovsk on the russian pacific coast, he also picked up large concentrations around the cities of St. Petersburg, Smolensk, Voronezh, Volgograd, Novosibbirsk (all Russian), Wuhan, Lanzhou (Chinese), Amritsar (Indian), Chicago, Seattle, Houston and Indianapolis (American). "However, by far the most polluted place on earth" says Prof. Schmetzburg "is the disgraceful mess surrounding the cities of Las Vegas, Phoenix and Alburquerque. These 3 cities in close proximity expend enough polution by themselves to cover half of Britain. Something must be done about this." Presiden Mordhiem has thrown his full support behind the report and set up a new international commite called International Organisation for Stopping Pollution or I-OSP. He has invited other world leaders to come and discuss the matter.
