Hong Kong ivades China, China counter invades
The Chinese High Command where surprised when they recived reports on Hong Kong forces wich disembarked on beaches outside Guangzhou. This panic attack by the military operating on the Hong Kong island before China should take over the Island as agreed in 1997, was a serious failure to follow up the agreement. Hong Kong also sent air assaults on the city, killing innocents.
Hong Kong refused all diplomatic contact and did not even send out a declaration of war before the surprise attack. Chinese forces repelled the attack and hunted them back into the sea. But they did not stop there. China followed them all the way back to Hong Kong, capturing the city once and for all. China expect the UN security council to condemn the unprovoked Hong Kong attack and to justify the Chinese counter invasion.

Musharaf, the leader of Pakistan, was debating with his advisors on whether to secure peace with India. However, the Pakistani people revolted, and there was a small scale revolution. Musharaf wired the Indian parliament to come immediately, with soldiers. For the time being, Karachi is under Indian protection, though it is still an independent state. World leaders hope that this will help to make the Indian and Pakistani people closer.
- Europe bombs Sri Lanka
We would like to congratulate the Europeans on their nearly flawless performance over Sri Lanka. However, there is the debate as to who will gain control of the city. We propose that we control the island, and we will make sure that soldiers patrol all parts of the island to make rebellions impossible. The island will become a tourist paradise of India.
- USA recieves 500 million dollars from India for it's technological assistance.
- Indian economy very weak, requesting that the Europeans provide us with some assistance as they are the richest nation.

After a surprisingly boring campaign president Pavlov was once again chosen by American voters.
Rebels seize Monrovia, US strikes back
Insurgents captured the city from European forces but after a quick counter-attack from the US Navy the rebels were driven out. Unfortunately rebel forces set fire to the city while leaving it and despite American efforts to save as many civilians as possible at least 150 are believed to have been killed in the flames.
Yemen fingered as supporter of terrorism
The FBI held a press conference today presenting evidence that Yemenese officials were involved in the hi-jacking of commercial flight AA 43 two months ago. The airliner was taken by masked men who ordered the pilot to fly to Cuba. The investigation came to the conclusion that some passengers attacked the hi-jackers, leading to a crash in the Atlantic ocean. 348 people died.
Now the USMC lead a landing in Yemen to seize the Yemenese president and secure the capital. According to the Pentagon the operation was a complete success and the former Yemenese president will be taken to the USA for a trial.

Is there some kind of other rule for you? This invasion of Hong Kong is just the last event in long string of aggressive behaviour from you. Central Asia, Vietnam, Korea and now Hong Kong. We have gone through the whole appeasment thing before. It doesn't work. In a personal letter you demanded that I leave the Middle East alone and now you're trying to turn it into a part of communist China!
In accordance with your treaty with the UK Hong Kong is to remain independent until 1997 and that's that.

Saddam Deposed in Sudden Coup
In a shock development, the dictatorship of Saddam Huessein in Iraq was violently overthrown by the militant National Salvation Movement, belived to be heavily funded by various European governments. The new Iraqi administration quickly sent appeals to the EU for protection, fearing that it would be an easy target for Iranian forces. The EU has agreed to take in Iraq as a temporary member with an option for either side to pull out of the agreement at any time.
Economic Aid Rushed to India
The EU concil has sanctioned a massive $2750m aid package to be sent to help boost the faltering Indian economy. It has been stated that money is expected to be paid back, at least in part, some stage in the future.
Russian Ambassador Continues to Act Strangley
Despite both the EU and Russian goverments agreeing to the dispatch of political resources to help streamline the Russian governmental system, the Russian Ambassador to the EU didn't want to know. He refused any offers to do with this, instead stubbornly requesting aid in other areas that was quite out of the question at this time. President Mordhiem, who was present at these disscusions, was baffled and hopes that the minister is apporpriatley disciplined.

Russia has taken control of Ukraine from the NeoStalinist Unalligned alliance with little loss of life. Immediately after asserting control of the city, construction was begun on a new Orthodox church, a symbol that freedom of religion has now been restored.
President Kurkov praised China for its request of UN approval before attacking the Taliban regime, and wished aloud that other nations would do the same before extending their boundaries to all corners of the globe. Kurkov said that perhaps he could be persuaded to allow further Chinese encroachment in Central Asia in exchange for the knowledge of Civil Society and Neocapitalism. Russia would be willing to exchange an equal amount of her knowledge for this as well.
Russia sent the EU $700m this month, and hopes this will suffice for the proposed deal.

Since the US has showed a hard line and sided with the seperatist movement in Hong Kong, China agreed to an election in the country. The elction represented the will of the people of Hong Kong. 97% of the voters welcomed the Chinese administration, 1% where against, and the other 2% would like to remain independant. Hong Kong will remain under Chinese rule until there is a change in the peoples opinion. Then and only then will China accept the Hong Kong Seperatists Movements demands. The HKSM is a very little minority in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong treaty is no more. They broke it, and they lost it. Now the people of Hong Kong can look forward to a prosperous future. Hospitals around the island has already been rushbuilded to help the wounded from the invasion.
HKSM Container Ship sunk
When the Chinese High Command thought that they had eliminated all form of resitance from the HKSM, they where surprised to find a HKSM backed Container Ship on the way to engage in new assaults on China. This ship was quickly shot down by the Chinese Airforce.
Cendemnation of the USA
USA is not the only power in the world who is allowed to seize cities and countries with corrupt leaders wich supports terrorism around the globe. China has acted in self defence and for the best interest of the people of China and for the people who has been enforced a new administration. So please do not tell us what to do and not to do! We do not tell you what to do.
However, China is willing to soften up and enter dialouges with the American president, to impove Chinese-US relations. What do you say about some tech-trade?

Today the Indian Parliament in charge of India for the past months has elected a new President after re-designing the Indian constitution. New President Ohwelao, in his inaugoration speech, proclaimed that Indian citizens will have a much higher living standard under his leadership. Also, he announced his plans for a new India. This new India, he claims, will become a world power.
American Carrier Spotted in Northwestern Indian Ocean
MiG 21 fighters spotted an American aircraft carrier near Pakistan. We can only ask what their intentions are?

The Middle East is a bleeding wound in the heart of Asia. To stop this frightening trend of terrorism and hatred I propose the following:
*That Teheran and it's surroundings are secured by Russian forces.
*That Kabul and it's surroundings are secured by Indian forces.
The USA is willing to support these operations with airstrikes and, if needed, groundforces. We hope that the EU and China can do the same thing. We can also send some funding to India and Russia to support the reconstruction the region, or perhaps lend some combat engineers.
This should in no way be seen as a division of the Middle East, but rather a way to stop the seemingly endless spirale of violence in this region.

Russia wholeheartedly supports this proposal, in fact, she was considering a similar proposal to the Security Council. Russia would welcome help in destroying the many garrisons of Iranian fundamentalists around Iran to root out.
We would also appreciate any anti-terror aid, as our Finance Minister now informs us that Russia is poorer than the Third World nations. Although Engineers would be helpful as well, since our scientists just learned the how to build them.
OOC: I'm not sure exactly how the events work in regards to taking Barbarian cities. I know new units are created in the capitol whenever one is destroyed, so could someone explain to me how we go around this and why it works?
