CTIV-9: The Academians

yawn ... good morning all.
I open save last night (did you know that I have learnt enough of the keyboard keys to save the game without looking at the screen), hit ctrl-tab for the in-game log and find ...

LIAR. Me think you finished the turns last night, and decide to process your images in the morning (perhaps on the train), and purpose keep us hanging in suspense.

Next time you try this again, might wanna leave the "0:00 AM" and "0:04 AM" out of the image.

:D

Whew, so is HC vs Mansa ... I knew HC couldn't stop warring ... I was hoping it will be Nappy ... but I guess better Mansa then us!

Heh, I was about to yank it out from both of you and play it myself :D

Some thoughts: switch Ptah to something it can build in 1 turn and would have the most hammer overflow (so whatever is cheapest to build). Obviously don't do this if it'll increase research time on Ecology to 2. Fire the scientist and hire an Engineer (maybe 2?) as well.

There's a wooded hill in Ptah's BFC we should mine. You can start it before hitting Enter so that it is done next turn (not sure how many workers you'll need, 3?).

Of course! What? Did you think that I would hear the trumpets and really go to bed without knowing what was going on?

And I did see the times in my screenshots - decided to leave them in for detective Fox.

I was hoping JesusOnEez would finish up tonight :undecide: ... I hope he's not getting his revenge for the shambles of JOE-4 :twitch:

1980 - Preturn
Ptah is changed from Research mode to building an Explorer as it's only 40 hammers and will give us some hefty overrun. This doesn't effect Genetics, still 1 turn to go. Neither does sacking the Scientist and adding an Engineer.

The workers also gang together to build a mine, and the others are in position for some heavy chopping.

1981 - Turn 1
Ptah finishes the Explorer and starts SS Stasic Chamber as Genetics has now finished. Currently it will complete in 6 turns. We start researching Composites for the sheer hell of it. HC completes SS Stasis Chamber and UN! Worker chopping and mine building brings the SS Stasis Chamber build time down to 4 turns.

SS Engine (3)
SS Stasis Chamber (4)
SS Thrusters (3, 3, 2)

1982 - Turn 2
SS Engine (2)
SS Stasis Chamber (3)
SS Thrusters (2, 2, 1)

1983 - Turn 3
Alhazen finishes the SS Thrusters, as does J. Keppler which suprises me...I'm sure it had another turn to go. They start...well...who really cares! The election for Secretary General comes in and we can either vote for Nappy or HC. We abstain. lol

SS Engine (1)
SS Stasis Chamber (2)
SS Thrusters (1)

1984 - Turn 4
Zu Chongzhi finishes SS Engine. Galileo Galilei finishes SS Thruster, and HC votes himself in as Secretary General.

1985 - Turn 5
I may have spelt the title of this post wrong.

No, I think the title of the above post does even more:

Later results point to:
  :band:  :woohoo:

bah - close. The sucker still had some techs to research and at least 2 parts to go. We'll be sitting under the sun, sipping drinks by the time he turns up.

Well done all. Oh - did we get a screenshot to prove that all cities had academies?

Wow - we build a 1200H part in 4 turns! Maybe the spaceship parts are too cheap?

Check the save, HC had all the techs he needed. It's a good thing one of us pushed through the effort to get Three Gorges to ensure HC didn't get it ...
