Can you post the methodology? It's not clear from the link (without registering to see the full article) that this is not weighted by prevalence.It's nonsense because it doesn't line up with your prejudices? Alcohol is just another drug, with similar personal health risk to the ones already mentioned. The science on it is public, read it if you want. If you'd rather stay ignorant, go ahead.

What I do know is that one glass of wine or beer per day will at worse marginally increase the risk of some cancers. One crack pipe or heroism syringe per day will already screw you.
Of course in absolute terms alcohol causes by far the most harm. In western countries, virtually every adult drinks. And a large minority abuses alcohol. Millions of people drunk drive every day. So obviously alcohol causes far more harm than any other drug, but only because it's consumed in far, far greater quantities than any other drug. In small doses alcohol is near harmless, while many other drugs are not.
