very hard--3 that 2 or less got right.

thats 5 mostly easy, 5 harder

Methinks next time we should have a conspiracy to make sure Steph never wins, there's such a thing as TOO hard

Harder than finding what were the 3 men to get twice the Victoria cross?

Come on, they are not so hard. Just asked in a original way :D

I've corrected question 9, it was asked a bit akwardly

Result for now :
Privatehudson : 2.6
PawPaw: 2.5

Course they're not too hard, they're impossible :p Especially given the "interesting" form of marking you give... *mutters*

yeah, what kinda question is that, wait a minute, its one of mine :mischief:

I guess I'm just driving at the theory that people might get put off by the difficulty of the questions sometimes, to be frank, I'd have got .6 had I not read a recent thread in the OT, so if we're not using google searches etc, and I'd not seen that, I doubt I'd have bothered

it's one of the few answers i was sure of too--must likely the same thread in o.t.

Guess it's just one of those problems, we each tend to specialise/like in certain periods or areas of history, so it's difficult to tailor it to everyone or enough for people to have a chance.

They tried it on another forum, but it had died away...

Rules : -

1) Send your answers to the questioner using a private message. Do not post in the thread.
2) 10 questions - can be specialized or general.
3) Runs for a period of time, as decided by questioner.
4) Will announce points won by each challenger in thread.
5) Will announce answers at end of round - arguments over answers can take place now.
6) Highest scorer gets to set the next round of questions, and cycle is repeated.
7) no research from net or books or other-makes it more challanging
8) No publishing of names if didn't manage to get any answers correct.
9) Poster who won prev round and prepared quiz, need not prepare quiz again if he wins again in the round after his prepared quiz - so as not to turn quiz into a 2 persons affair.
10) In the event of a tie at the top, questioner to decide who gets to do next quiz.

:)

First round on me...

:mischief:

Why do you find my questions so hard? Difficult to google

Nope, I don't bother with that. However, non-British history outside of my periods is beyond me at the best of times, asking for details in it is not even possible beyond guesses. :(

Example, though I had an idea about the Japanese question, there's no way in hell I'd know the date of the battle I was thinking of without looking through a book or google.

Yeah, I figured there was something else I had to do, but I didn't really feel like looking at the first post. Ignore me.

I don't Google... I consider that cheating (stupid self-imposed morality)
That's why I seldom answer the quizz. Most of the time I can answer only very few questions.
