Are you sure that you've got the right answer to this question JD, because I know that Burns' blood is double O negative?

The episode is from the 2nd series and is called Blood Feud. That is why they get the Aztec head statue in their basement - it's Burns' thank you present.

Who does Homer get to produce the "artistic" advert for Mr Plow in that episode?
:D

Hey hey everybody. Be merry and rejoice in the streets for I bring glad tidings for all mankind. The advertising agency in Mr Plow is McMahon & Tate!! Not McMann & Tate, which is the firm Darrin worked for in Bewitched, although it originally was, but changed for broadcast. I didn't know this but the net is full of knowledge. :)

Someone else ask another question or this will stagnate.

If I recall correctly, it was McMahon and Tate who did the ad - famous ad agency where Darren Stevens from "Bewitched" worked. I think the ad was all black-and-white and artsy - like some of those perfume commercials you see these days.

Let me know if that's the answer you're going for.

Edit: LOL! Posting at the same time!

Well, I had the name right. I didn't realize that the "Bewitched" version was McMann and Tate!

I'll mull over a question and post in a few moments.

OK, here's an obscure one. It comes from one of the first episodes:

Bart cheats on an IQ exam (uses Martin's test for his own) and is proclaimed a genius.

In that episode, the family is playing Scrabble. Bart spells out a (fake) word using all of his tiles. He defines the word (I believe) as a large dumb ape.

What is this obscure, nonsense word?

Wow Duke, you're good. I didn't think anyone would come up with kwyjibo!

I think the last hole on the course was Abe Lincoln. You had to get by his arms or legs swinging - can't remember how it was set up.

Let me know if that's right.

I remember that being one of the obstacles, but I don't know if it's the last hole. Lincoln was sitting down like at the Lincoln memorial and his legs spread outward and you had to get the ball between them.

That's right Kev. I know lots of these questions because I love the Simpsons. I used to have cable when I was a student and watched about four shows a day. We also had the guide to the first seven (?) series with loads of the secrets explained. I can generally get most of the questions, but some I need to check out. I was sure it was kwyjibo, but needed confirmation so I searched for it. There is so little good US satire that I love the rare examples - the Simpsons and the Onion are brilliant, and I've recently got into Futurama too even though we haven't had that many series on British telly. The net info on the others looks good though. :D
JD, I'm afraid that although your answer was more specific, I'm going to give Kev the next question if he wants it. He was in first. :)

[edit]: Kev, bet that's the first time you've ever said "I'll defer to jelly"

"I love the Leader!!"

Ooh, ooh, is the answer Towanga, Santa Claus of the South Seas? :grad:

Now, if I'm wrong, let's not let the law get involved. One hand washes the other. Oh, that reminds me!!

If I'm right, which medical school did Dr. Nick attend?

:ninja: :king: :ninja:

Okay, since Hippo doesn't seem to be responding and the thread is just about to fall off the page (and I didn't get my question before), I'll post a question. Hmmm...seeing as how the episode where Homer goes to NY will not be put on air again, I will post a question on that episode in tribute.

When Homer is at the WTC, what two beverages does the guy at the stand sell, and which does Homer choose?

If I remember right, its Mountain Dew and some different-sounding juice, and Homer picks the juice. I can't remember what its called, and now I'll be kicking myself all night trying to remember.

"Eew, I'll take the crab juice!!"

Yes, I think it's crab juice. :grad:

He drank plenty of cans to get the taste of that khlav kalash out of his mouth. It is then when Homer enters one of the WTC towers only to figure out the bathroom isn't working and he has to go all the way to the other tower. What a shame they won't be showing that episode anymore, at least not for a while. Same with the N'Sync one, though I prefer the Homer in NYC.

Damn terrorists!! Prepare to die!!
