I've created a map within the worldbuilder. I also created a mod and added that map to the mod so that in the ModBuddy it was shown underneath my mod name in the Solution Explorer. I had the ModBuddy build the mod, I then saved the mod. I checked the folders in every possible location and my map file is everywhere it should be...as far as I know. However, when trying to select the map file in the single player setup in the mod area my map is not there. I know that's a long explanation for "map not showing up" so sorry. Any help would be appreciated.

If also no mod else is showing up, you should try to reinstall civ.
Might sound dull, but it has already helped people.

yea the mod buddy is weird in regard to maps. What I did to make it work is after I edit my map, I copy and paste it in the 3 spots its supposed to be in, that way when I rebuild my mod, no matter what map it tries to overwrite with, I will have the correct one.

The 3 places you will need to do this to ensure Mod Buddy doesn't ruin your fun is;

YOURMOD/Maps

YOURMOD/Builds/Maps

YOURMOD (v1)/Maps

the first two are in the My Documents/Mod Buddy/ folders

and the last is in My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/MODS/

this of course is only after you have built a mod. Also if you didn't make a maps folder for your mod, it would just be in the main directory

I am having similar issues. I have made sure that my map is in all three locations (I verified that the modified date/time match in all three locations). It is still not appearing in the selection screen. Is this because I have several mods activated (I placed the Celt Civ in it and I have my mod from the other thread activated as well).

yea, I'm not sure how maps will react if you build them in WB (with a mod loaded), then try to play that map with more then just that mod loaded.

My understanding is that modding in Civ V is supposed to be modular. So, with that in mind, it should work!

To be honest, I think modding (especially combining mods) became even more difficult in CIV IV when they introduced the modular format. It just seems to me that they are complicating things more and more every time.

yea I've already stated in several places I think Jon Shafer is a moron, at least not the kind of guy to be leading a project. He should have remained an xml monkey. I wish Soren was still here...
