Cybertech Alt History Brainstorming Thread

Some ideas:

Microchip Implanting
-> Currently, there are experiments with Insects. They implant them chips to remote control them. They can be equiped with micro cameras or a strong poison and are way cheaper than micro robots. Probably better unter Biopunk?

What would be nice is to have the Controlled Insect Swarm (see Biopunk Thread) requires Pheromone Lab (Biopunk) OR XXX (Cyberpunk). Is this possible?
 
1. Sounds like Total Recall too. Or even Inception.

2. I think % stats would be too much. Please keep it as standard +/- values.

3. I am not sure. I vaguely remember some unit that could. If not you can always do what I did with the Trainer buildings where the Trainer Building enables the unit but it requires a wide range of possible requirements. For you it could be a Swarm Trainer that requires a Pheromone Lab or Cyber Insect Lab.

2. Ok, but think about it: instead of ~8h you need 1 or 2 hours sleep. 6h more to do stuff, so I think % for the Artificial Dreaming should be ok. I will reduce them to 10% then, ok?
[I think in the later eras all the buildings should get more benefits, since you can't found any cities. And in RL: robots are way more productive than humans etc...]

2. We can see. But if its too much in testing it may need to be tweaked later.

And when multi-maps are added then one COULD found more cities on the Moon, Mars and possibly space.

Sure, every time!

Ok, but the overall grow of science, gold... won't be caused by new cities, but more by the buildings. But, as you say, we will see.:mischief:

Is it acutally possible to have "Require Tech X OR Tech Y?
I just set Prereq Tech to NONE because it requires the goods Biopunk OR Cyberpunk. But would be nicer with tech requirement!

Hmm... I messed something up here and I couldn't find it. I checkt every line I edited, but maybe I'm just too tired.

Did it give you an error? If so what line did it say the error was on?

I can't find anything either. I suggest you load the mod with one building at a time until it gives you an error.

Yeah, I will try this tomorrow if noone else can find somethink. The Error was just "Error Load XML: Can't load CyberPunk_CIV4BuildingInfos"
So I guess I forgot a "<" or maybe I forgot to close a tag I opened. But I checked that? :confused:
 
You have an unclosed tag in there. I'll see if I can find which one.

How do you spot those missing tags? Do you have a program that searches for unclosed tags?
 
I use the editor and I need to look very carefull to see if I messed something up.

Also, I added "+25 Local instability" to the Dream Simulation Center, but I doesn't show up in the Pedia. What's the correct tag for it?
