My real name is very common and you won’t be able to narrow down results to just me without cross referencing. Also, my username is literally my real name backwards so I believe I’m unimportant enough with a common enough name to use it.

Unobservant me hadn't noticed. Anyway as far as I'm concerned you're a Mexican composer, don't try and deny it.

What does 3.5E mean? What's your N before human? How do I create myself as a character, and do you have a guide that explains everything?

D&D 3.5 edition (the one they published between 3rd and 4th, did anyone actually play 4th?) The N is probably neutral as in alignment.
Heres a character generator for 3.5 http://dnd3rd.sourceforge.net/
Are you prepared to waste years of your life to understand D&D, if so I can point you in the right direction.

3.5E means Dungeons and Dragons Edition 3.5, which is available under the Open Game License, which Pathfinder uses. 3.5 is (or at least was) the most popular edition of DnD, if it’s not anymore, then 5th edition (5E) has become most popular.

N means Neutral, neither Chaotic, Lawful, Good, or Evil. I usually try to act Lawful or Good but I can be Chaotic and vindictive.

Ninja edit: Amazon Queen can help

I used NPC Classes since I’m not an adventurer (also, my stats add up to 0 points with the +2 flexible score added to Int). Most people have 0-5 points but some may have as low as -5 or as high as 15. Pathfinder Society uses 20 point buy.

The NPC Classes are Adept (think miracle workers), Aristocrat (wealthy), Commoner (poor), Expert (educated), and Warrior (they fight a lot).

Hate to break it to you but 3.5 was one of the smallest selling D&D's. Ryan Dancey put some numbers up over on the GitP forums and they're not to far out from other stats used.

The only editions 3.5 actually outsold was OD&D, maybe 4E (4E had a lot on release though then tanked so its not 100%).

5E doing gangbusters, AD&D outsold 3.0, 3.5 and Pathfinder put together. They reprinted the 1E PHb 17 times, and its the only edition reprinted into the following edition (they reprinted it during early 2E).

That red box for the old Basic line is also one of the bigger selling items and due to it Keep on the Boorderlands has also outsold several editions PHB or equivalent (every edition aprt from 1E, Basic, and maybe 5E).

2E also outsold 3.0 and 3.5 but not 3.0 and 3.5 combined. Google the golden age of D&D adjusted for inflation in 1983 TSR revenue was higher than the entire RPG market now.

Yes, but 2nd ed wasn't competing with videogames. The 2 versions of D&D which seem to be most played now are 3.5 and 5.
My brother has been selling some of his old D&D stuff and the version that seems to be least in demand is 3.0. The early stuff sells well as does 3.5 but he can't shift the 3.0 stuff easily.

Hygro

Str: 7
Dex: 5
Con: 5
Int: 5
Wis: 5
Cha: 5

HP: 3
THAC0: 21

Class: Dual Class Internet Consumer Level 6/Public Persona Level 0

Race: Prefer Not To Answer

Deity: The Eye on top of the Pyramid on the $1

Secondary Skills: Music Producer
Weapon Specialization: Longsword

Followers: A cadre of underemployed lost boy men who wish they were someone else but don't want to change who they are. Rolls from fighter table at level 9 provided a stronghold.

Hygro has a special racial ability once per year that increases all stats by individual rolls of 1d8+4 for a duration of 2d4 months.

3.0 is more or less functionally dead now, you have 3.5/Pathfinder if you want to go there. At the time 3.0 was massive, 3.5 caused a RPG game crash. 3.X online is the 2nd most popular D&D after 5E with OSR in a distant 3rd place (OSR is pre 3E D&D+ clones).

ST=8
DX=8
IQ=13

TFT forevah!

I always thought Azem Ocram was some play on Occam's Razor that I was too stupid to figure out.

So we'll make it IQ=12, then.

I decided to change my username on Simtropolis to OcramsRzr after a conversation about Occam (and how horribly ironic it was for me to criticize cities similar to my hometown).

Anyway, trying to stay on topic, I honestly don’t know how to build a 5e character. I’ve only played one 5e game session and I was given a premade character. It took me 4 hours with help to make a character in Pathfinder Playtest, which seems to be more similar to 5e. I don’t even know what the NPC classes are in 5e.

5e is truly good. I too thought it was an Occam's Razor reference.

Or an Occam's Laser reference :cool:

Thank you kindly! I don't know exactly what I'm doing, but I used tools on your website to create my character ..
