I was looking through wonders and some graphic mods and saw
a few things you may want to use (most with some modification of course)

1)slave trade by Rufus T. Firefly
2)holy roman empire by rufus t. fireflt (obviously what this is would be changed but it looked real good.)
3)the colonial port by rufus t. firefly (eventually empires will move to colonize the rest of mystara)
4)African cities by arne (looks good as a city type)

We should honestly look into getting rufus t. firefly on our design squad. His wonders are top top notch and in many cases blow away the originals that came with the game. I think we'd be wasting an amazing resource not recruiting this man.

One more thing.... check out Zurais modpack. I like the way he handles religion. Certain religious buildings make priests and the like which can cause alot of havoc. Youll understand when you check em out. I think he handled it well. We could use something similar.

I already know of Rufus' work. I'm a big afan of his and I've got everything he's posted at least in the last few months on file. ;)
I'm not sure if Rufus would join the team. When I get to the graphix for wonders, I'll see if he takes requests. :)

I haven't seen Zurais mod yet, but I will. If they are anything like the mages then I won't do it, but I'll take a look. So far I have avoided the idea of clerics as units. If his ideas don't contrast what I have planned then I'll borrow the ideas. ;)

I think it would be in our best interest to activeley recruit him. The sooner we get him working with our wonders the closer we'll be to being finished.

I can't actively recruit Rufus as I don't have the time to actually post examples of what I need. Fortunatly he is making htings that can be altered slightly and added to the game under the names I need. I have over 1000 graphix for buildings and wonders. Don't worry, that department is pretty much covered. Once I figure out where everything is going I'll see what is missing and then contact him.

Arghis is the terrain manager, so if there is anything about plateau's, it's his call. ;)

Still working on units. There are a ton of these guys. Here is an example of unit lines

Offense:
Warrior==>Swordsman==>Infantry==>Gun Unit

Defense:
Spearman============>Pikeman==>Gun Unit

Artillery:
Immobile Siege Craft==>Mobile Siege Craft==>Advanced Siege Craft==>Cannon

Mounted:
Rider==>Knight==>Cavalry

Navy:
Pre Galley==>Galley==>Heavy Galley==>Frigate==>Massive Ship

Ranged:
Archer==>Advanced Archer==>Gun Unit

There are around 50 or more extra units including special scouts, mages, druids, giants, dragons, gnome machines, gryphons, and much more.

Every civ has a different set of units, so I'm making the upgrade path like it was in DyP.

Beautiful....I like it..... when WH comes out there will be alot more untis introduced as well that havent been posted so youll be able to expand even more.

;) That's one advantage of releasing a mod later than everyone else. Learned that from Nintendo.

I still have a ways to go with units. I'm counting around 300 or so so far, and more may be added. I'm organizing them on a spreadsheet so they will be easier to plan out. After that I move on to Wonders and the Tech Tree. Then I will work on text files. After that it is just a matter of making sure everything is in the right folder and looking for bugs. I will try to get out the most obvious crashes before the beta is released or I'll end up with 20 patches the first week. I think that's it so far. That's still a ways though. The units are going to take a while.

Thats cool... I figured that much. Good to see were making solid progress though. When it comes to techs let me know...I'd like to have a say in that development.

That's good because I'll need some help working that out. Techs and especially the tech tree are my weakest point in modding (not including animations)

I'm posting an update on my progress, just so anyone watching the thread knows where I'm at and doesn't get the idea I quit.

Finished organizing the following on the Spreadsheet: (bold is completed)
Non Combat or Support:
Settlers
Workers
Scouts

Offense:
Warrior==>Swordsman==>Infantry==>Gun Unit

Defense:
Spearman============>Pikeman==>Gun Unit

Artillery:
Immobile Siege Craft==>Mobile Siege Craft==>Advanced Siege Craft==>Cannon

Mounted:
Rider==>Knight==>Cavalry

Navy:
Pre Galley==>Galley==>Heavy Galley==>Frigate==>Massive Ship

Ranged:
Archer==>Advanced Archer==>Gun Unit

Currently working on Navy and Extras.

EDIT: Once I have them organized in the spreadsheet, I will begin entering them into the editor. Won't take near as much time since I will have them organized and it will be copy work from a printed out spreadsheet. I'm hoping by today I will have all the primary graphix I will need for units. Keep your fingers crossed.
