Actually the turn is probably with me. I did manage to get Civ4 to run in principle on my "new" (actually very old) Lubuntu machine, but apparently this mod won't work on it.

Again, it's probably with me, but I am unable to play the mod on this machine.

I did finally scrounge up the money to order some critical parts that will hopefully allow me to resurrect a decent enough Windows gaming PC, but who knows when they'll arrive.

WHat happened is that I skipped you and forwarded to Michkov who GPSed to ruff_hi. Its been 4 months and I really want to save this game from dying. So perhaps raff_hi should play the latest turn he got....

Game turned up in my inbox. First pbem that I have seen since ... May 9th. But ... it was asking for prior players password. I have emailed them with fix instructions.

Was Trump replaced as the leader of America given the recent elections?
Is that Civ block still run by the same human player?
If so, did he play his turns this round?

spoke too soon ... the turn that turned up was the same turn that I got back in may. How is that for a turn of events

What Trump? What elections? Ronald J Dump shall rule eternally! Also what about CHAYNA? Hercules never got around to renaming his leader to Xi Jinping either, even though he is arguably the greatest statesman of the still young century.

Yes, I still play America, and I finally got around to it as well as the other PBEMs I was holding up. Terribly sorry about the long hiatus, but between not having a functioning computer, having to move apartments, and working a full time job I had my hands full the past few months.

Who the heck is David Cameron? Sounds like someone forwarded one of their mid-turn turns ... and not the final turn.

Edit: David C is the UK ... the first civ from Michkov. That said, Michkov just send me the turn for Feb 2024 ... a turn that I have now seen at least three times. Next turn for me is March 2024.
