I think daft is close to completion with the update and one guy left also Daft revealed some new sprites so it looks like next update will be a big one. Also I bet the update will be up within 12 hours.

Update's going to take another 24 hours. Or more. I hope not, though. I do want to keep this moving! Big wars, migrations, climate change and one wonder so far.

I'm guessing emu has given up, and I don't see any orders from Anonymoose or Abaddon, which could mean Matt0088 and Ninja Dude are all alone in their cradles

Well you did kill my guys off in the first turn, their is nothing to send orders for.

edit: Just re-read the update, guess I shouldn't read updates and look at maps while in a hurry. I thought that stuff about people running into the forests was just filler text then looked at the map and saw that fort and city was white, assumed barbs wiped me out.

Meh be careful about that I thought I was screwed when I read the text which was only one line for me but then I looked at my stats and map and I was happy cause I got more than what I wanted. Sometimes things are better than they seem you just have to double check ya know?

Yes remixing the sprites is quite time consuming. If I spent an entire day doing it I could probably get some decent customised sprites for each faction. I assume people would rather have the update though!

The famous sprite dude named Fairline has also done some LOTR sprites, including those elves with the cloaks and shiny gold armour. They look little too advanced for right now, though, IMO. Maybe your guys will evolve into them eventually...

@emu yes i am sorry, it can't be much fun to have that happen. But I've been such a gentle mod before. I wanted to more brutal and like totally metal in this NES. So it might be more rewarding in the long run?

Again this isn't CIV, my idea is that it should be possible to rise and fall several times over. Even just with one unit left, you could become a mercenary or a raider or something, then claim new land, and eventually build a new empire. Or become specific traders or mystics or something completely different.

I would love some Tolkienesque Elven sprites later, perhaps closer to the medieval time period. I don't really need new sprites, I was just wondering, and being sarcastic. Although if a sprite update is planned, I would appreciate a new model.
