Yea but DIABLO is a name, and furthermore it's "DIABLO". No one misspells that.

I hear that Hellgate London is the unofficial "sequel" to Diablo2. A lot of the former Diablo developers work on it.

I saw Diablo 2 for sale and an expansion set, but I didn't get it because I was told it doesn't work on Windows XP.

Diablo II works on XP.
Thoguh on one computer my friend had to put the CD in, take it out, put it in, or soemthing crazy like that. On my even crappier computer when I played it on there it worked fine.

Someone I know bought it, put the disc in, and came up with an error message saying it doesn't work on Windows XP.

I have played it for yearws on XP with no special consideration. All the way from Day to now. Well I never put on 1.10, but I have played all the other patches.
I would check with Blizzard if this is a legit copy, I suspect they will be helpful.

It wouldn't install on Win2k for me. Had to install it on a Win98 machine and copy all the relevant files to the W2k computer.

It probably works out to some small fraction of a cent per hour for all the playing time I have gotten. I all every char through Hell mode at least once in SP. Some more than once.
