Damn Shaka!

Why do people that run into a competitive AI, like Shaka, that disrupts their normal play style, always say that they need a major nerf?

There needs to be different civilizations, that cause you pain, or where is the challenge and the fun?

I can handle Shaka with early war, steal his workers, cripples him, and still keep the tech up. Maintain sight on your common border, to keep an eye on him. Only takes an archer on a hill.

Shaka is the avatar of Some men just want to watch the world burn it needs to be expected.

Had trouble with him in one game. Didn't realize he was my neighbor, and he loved my position so much, he took my city while I was having trouble with finances and happiness. Then, I reloaded from autosave and took measures this time. Suddenly, he decided he hates Rome more than I do. Huh... I guess a small army can make a difference.

Although, I do admit I do not regret taking his capital in my first game with Assyria. Despite the Warmonger penalty I got, the taste of sweet revenge is delicious.

Speaking off, I tried observing an AI game wherein I've pitted Shaka against a couple of other warmongers. Shaka managed to destroy Mongolia in one game, and ended up in a stalemate at another (Ghengis managed to snag Great Wall, surprisingly enough). Meanwhile, he and Ashurbanipal became best buds/vitriols in a few other games. For some reason, I couldn't get the Aztecs in the same continent, but it looks like Shaka would wipe them. Haven't tried Japan yet. That I wanna see.
