the reason is, that you then have to choose between the two hurry types instead of having both at the same time... ;)
anyway, i uploaded it to filefront this time just for you... ;)

i'm sorry, but i had to disable multiplayer for darkciv. and even if enabled i don't think it would work.
 
Only a crazy person would use both Universal Sufferage and Slavery at the same time. That makes no sense. :)

But eh, fair enough, I just dislike Emancipation a lot.
 
The genocide/"ethnic cleansing" option, is that coded in the sdk and if so, are the sources included with commenting? That option amuses me, I would like to add it to RoM.

Also, how did you implement the changes in the religous spread rate?

I really like your changes, it always bugged me that Civ4 favored a kinder rule over a more "active" one.

I have a question, Can u make Europe in the 18 civ Earth map a bit larger something like in Rhye's map? Cause France and Italy can have only one city now,

the genocide option is a bit all over the place. i commented some parts of it. if you search for "genocide" in the sdk you should be able to find all parts of it. however, you will also have to look in the CvMainInterface.py and Civ4Theme_HUD.thm for the new button.
everything related to religion spread is in CvCity::doReligion() although i also took some of those changes in darkciv version 1.0 from another modcomp

i'm sorry, but i didn't make that map. JEELEN did. perhaps he will make a new version? and i am unfortunately not too familiar with making maps to make these changes myself...

@Lachlan: i'm glad you like it. there will be more "politically incorrect" additions to darkciv in the future... ;)

When I dl'ed this mod, i noticed that you don't use BUG.

Any plans on merging in BUG?

you don't need my permission to make more scenarios, i would be happy if you did. :)
the "core" darkciv is finished with this last release. i think i have done everything i wanted to do. the only thing that may be added are bug-fixes. however i am planning on making some larger additions (or modules or expansions or whatever i will call them :) ). one with the theme of imperialism and colonialism, one with a religious theme and one with a modern theme. all those will of course mainly show the dark side of civilization. i think the religion one will be the first, however i don't have so much time at the moment, so i don't know when these will be released.

yes i know. i'm sorry, but i am not planning to merge BUG into darkciv for various reasons...

Hmm, I'm not sure if I got this running the way I usually get mods running. I don't get the main menu screen that is pictured in the first post. Does the content of this mod require a custom game?
 
If you are working on something with colonialism and imperialism i can make some scenario's about that, tommorow i will start at some other scenario's for your mod.

@Riddleofsteel, I don't get that screen to, but the mod works, so no problem..
 
When I try to run this mod, when Civ says, "Initializing Engine," I get this error: "GFC Error: failed to initialize primary control theme." Any ideas what's going on and how to fix it?

I use BtS 3.19 with Blue Marble.
 
Is it in the My Games/Beyond the Sword/MODS folder or the Program files directory?


Because it should be in the program files directory.
 
No problem. It has something to do with the UI. For some reason, the change is incompatible with the My Games folder.
