Decent earth map included?

Does ciV come with a good earth map as civ4 did at release?

If not im sure there will be one in a while. But I always liked playing a decent earthmap instead of random maps.

i agree with you on liking to play on earth, and from what ive seen the map is halfway decent, but there is no option of playing with historically accurate starting locations.

There will be some modded realistic earths relatively soon, I can guarantee you.
