Deity, non-peaceful way to win?

So far, I can only win culturally, and that's like one in ten games. The AI just have too much military and too advanced for me to handle. Heck, occassionally, they are the ones who give me pity tech . So what are the strategies to win on deity through conquest and domination?

Cottage spamming and early expansion. Try Augustus Caesar first ...

edit: Incas are not bad too ... Industrious sucks a little, but Quechas guarantee an early survival.

Techs: Mining -> Bronze -> Pottery -> Writing -> Alpha

Agriculture or Animal husbandry occasionaly. I did 4 deity games without researching Agriculture, A.Husbandry before Alphabet was known. It's not a good habit - I am only saying it's possible

First of all, I have yet to win a deity game culturally. I always get 5 pity techs and then I get crushed before I can pull off the win. You're probably more skilled than me in this regard I suppose. I don't know - all my deity victories consists of perpetual warfare.

If you're going for alphabet, remember you need the wheel and one of fishing or agriculture for pottery.
