This was brought up recently in the warrior/scout/slinger/ thread.
I found it interesting.
When I watch Lets Plays. I notice many players complaining of Barb Invasions or getting Rolled.
This makes perfect sense to me to avoid any problems on land based maps.
I would figure you would do something different on water based maps?
I'm sure that like everything else this is map/game/start dependent.
What really caught my attention is that this helps solve the Classical Golden Age problem.
That is to say if you want those over a Classical Dark Age.

I only tried one game so far up to turn 50.
I played as Khmer and the Mayans were my neighbor again.
I built 3 warriors first and had a fast population increase from a goody hut.
This helped me to get them out faster.
I went builder, settler after the initial 3 warriors.
My land was Luxury Poor and I had one copy of Horses in the 3rd ring.
Other Horses and Iron were close enough for my first expo.

I was unsure of what to do with the 4 warriors.
I sent them all off in opposite directions and found many CS's.
A few goody huts but not many.
I did manage to kill 3 or 4 Barb Camps.
I was able to get 26/25 Era Score for the first Golden Age.
I had 0 Faith Generation so it was kind of a bust.

My questions are what is best to do with these warriors on Pangaea Maps?
How far should you explore with them?
Should you use them more so for an early pillage war?
Should you build 3 in a row right out of the gate or mix the build order up with builder/settlers?
Any information is appreciated as this was my first attempt.
I felt the results were better than I expected.
The interesting thing is, I have never seen any Let's Plays on Youtube going Warrior x 3 First.
I plan to try this a few more times with screenshots and more thoughts on the subject.

What Techs should you focus on with this build?
Should you research the Government Plaza asap?

This was my second attempt at this 3 Warrior Start Strategy.
I played as France.
Deity Standard Low Sea Level 2 Disasters.
Ironically the 3rd game in a row with the Mayans as the closet neighbor.
Greece was somewhat close as well.
Here is the Start.
I played the game blind.

Lahore is a first meet next door.
This helped to build the Warriors Faster.

I didn't scout as much as the first time and I gambled a bit.
I was at 10/11 Era Score for 8-9 Turns.
I stopped scouting and delayed my first district in hopes of a Dark Age.
I had no chance at a Classical Golden Age IMO.
I ended up with a Dark Age that kinda bit me back somewhat.
I was a bit fortunate camping near the borders of Greece that I captured a free settler.
I mistimed another war with the Mayans but was able to capture one of theirs as well.
They made me pay though as they took Amboise.

The Mayans built an Army but no Walls.
They also Levied a good amount of troops from 2 CS's it seems.
I was in a pretty good war after I got 300 gold to levy Lahore's Troops.
Sadly I didn't take any screenshots.

Once I got Amboise back, I tried to capture the Mayan Cities.
I made peace with Greece and they became my ally soon after.
They have yet to meet the Mayans so I couldn't bribe them to war.

It wasn't the easiest thing taking cities in a Dark Age and Palenque revolted once.
I was able to gain loyalty after I took Coba.
I'm set up for a Heroic Age in a few turns.
My culture is horrid this game.
I think I got PP around turn 60-63 and Feudalism might not come online till around turn 100!
My last two games the Mayans had far more districts and wonders.
I guess that is the trade off if you can get cities earlier.

I have to say that this game gave me a better taste for Civ VI again.
I find it difficult to go back to Civ IV after being spoiled with the graphics of V and VI.

Not direcly related to this "strat", I find most Civ6 youtubers are pretty cringe, especially if compared to, say, Lain or AZ. They are youtubers first, Civ6 players second.

Are those streamers or other 4x games? If so I'd like to check them out :) And yeah, I agree on Civ 6 YouTubers. Civ 5 had some exceptional players like FilthyRobot, but 6 doesn't.
