Hi veBears,
I heard you were all out of Beta Civs, and you were taking suggestions. So i have a few i haven't seen and would like to see.

Nez Pierce

LH:
Chief Joseph [Pro/Org] (here)

UU:
Nez Pierce Rider
Replaces Horse Archer
+15 :hammers:
Starts with Flanking I, Flanking II, Commando

UB:
Horse Breeder
Replaces Stable
+10 :hammers:
+5% :hammers: (Like Shale Plant)
New mounted units receive +3 experience points

Summary:
The Nez Pierce Indian Tribe are famous for two reasons, their horses and Chief Joseph. Their horses are among the best in the world so I wanted to reflect that in both the UU and UB. Chief Joseph is Protective and Organized, in considering he led his people on a 1,700 mile journey to Canada eluding capture till the end. The Nez Pierce Rider reflects this with its increased cost (better quality horses) and free promotions. The Horse Breeder costs a little bit more in the beginning but grants a good bonus in the long run with a +5% :hammers: overall like the shale plant, for the quality of Nez Pierce horses.

Chippewa

LHs:
Great Buffalo [Phi/Spi] (here)
White Cloud [Pro/Spi] (here)

UU:
Ogichidaa
Replaces Cavalry
On Foot [No Horse Required]
+1 :strength:
Can receive defensive bonuses
Can withdraw from combat (50% chance)
-50% attack vs. cannon

UB:
Fishery
Replaces Harbor
+3 :health: from clam, crab, fish

Summary: The Chippewa are a Midwestern Indian Tribe surrounding the Great Lakes. Their warriors are famous for their tactics in Little Crow's War. And as a culture based around the Great Lakes fishing is a part of their lives. Great Buffalo, who was Chief overall Chippewa in his lifetime made many treaties with the United States to prevent violence between the two. Wabanquot was a chief of the Gull Lake Chippewa who was protective of his people in both a physical and spiritual way. The Ogichidaa of the Chippewa fight on foot in guerilla style tactics however generally are crippled when faced with large artillery. The fishery is the primary source of food for the Chippewa so a healthy supply is maintained.

Singapore

LH:
David Marshall [Chm/Fin] (here)

UU:
Cargo Ship
Replaces Transport
Cargo Space: 6
1 :strength:

UB:
Superport
Replaces Customs House
+180 :hammers:
+300% commerce from intercontinental foreign trade routes
+2 :commerce: on water tiles
+2 :yuck: from Oil

Summary: David Marshall was the first Prime Minister of Singapore and fought valiantly for its freedom and financial security. The cargo ship, the main trading vessel of today boasts a whopping 6 cargo spaces replacing the Transport, making amphibious assaults a definite possibility as long as the ship is with a vanguard because due to the size and weight of the ship its kinda vulnerable. Finally the Superport brings it all together with improved commerce on water tiles and from intercontinental foreign trade routes at the cost of production and health.

@veBear: I'm pretty much done with the last LH, and will be testing him later today. I'll probably send him (and the UU art) tonight, as long as everything works out fine.

Complete flavour units? Does that include the vehicles?

The Austrian UU should really be something like the Grenzer.

Sweet! If only i could use it in my mod:)

I used some of my free time yesterday to make some buildings, and one of them was a request by you. I hope it's about what you imagined.

Awesome. Now you give CotW a run for its money... Better go and actually upload the stuff I finished.

Another awesome civ. I'm a massive Björk fan, so I think I'll add it ;).

Funny thing about Björk and Iceland: once in my mod (which incorporates Revolution), my own Iceland civ Declared Independence from me. Resistance was futile, though.

I tryed to download the Libya mod for like the whole afternoon, but im sure im doing something wrong. I created the custom civilizations folder and i put the mod in it but when i load up the mod on my game the Libya civ isn't anywhere. I am a noob at this, and i really want to donwload this mod. Please help, btw all your civs look really good.

I put the (1) in the right place right?
and the folder is now called (CustomCivilizations)
It still doesn't work... Can i replace another civ by Libya?
By the way, when i load up the mod it loads just fine, just the civ Libya is nowhere but everything esle works... Do i have have to put the libya mod in program files or in My documents?

C:\Program Files\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Civilizations\Assets\Modules\CustomCivilizations\Libya

The Loading thing is in the Libya.ini file, and the Libya.ini file is sitting in the Libya folder.

If this doesn't work out, could i replace another civ by the Libyan one??

edit: I tried putting the file is my games/ beyond the sword/ Mods/Civilizations/Assets/Modules/ CustomCivilizations

btw my assets and modules folders are empty... am i supposed to put something in them? I also tried putting a mod name just before the folder called "Civilizations".

Both are fine... it isn't working. Oh Well, i guess i have to wait for the other thing you talked about, what is the difference between a mod and a module...?? And i have a question, where are the folders for the real civs? i can't seem to find em

Thanks

A mod is simply a modificaton of Civ4 in this case. A module is a modification that uses the Modular Loading System that came with BtS. Not all mods are modules (e.g. the Sevomod), but all modules are mods.

Can anyone tell me where I could find the original civilizations in my folders? i lokk ed coudnt seem to find it.
and veBear coudn't i just replace say the Mali, with Libya?? An did i understand this right, a module is a part of a Mod??

The original civilizations are found in Programfiles/2k games/firaxis games/Beyond the Sword/Assets/Xml/Civilizations/CIV4CivilizationInfos.xml

This varies based on if you have Windows 7 or vista, also if you got BTS wit civ complete, theres an extra foulder in there called "Sid Meiers Civilization 4 Complete" in between Firaxis games and Beyond the sword.

As for replacing Mali, go to the Libya file, click on the CivilizationsInfos.xml around row 8 itll say:
<Type>CIVILIZATION_LIBYA</Type>

Replace with:
<Type>CIVILIZATION_MALI</Type>
And it will replace it
