Design Contest Overflow

Hmmm..not a bad idea. Having multiple barbs civs (including animal, undead, human barbs, orkish barbs, possibly all the other races, and mabye even lizzies, centaurs, etc) could be fun. They would all have the same icons, and from a player persepective would all be the same. However, they would be at war with each other and would use eachother to gain the experience needed to become much more threatening to the real civs in the game.

However, I'm not sure how you implement both this and my event (ritual) idea.

Hybo could be in peace with demon barbarians, Embers with orc/lizzy and Doviello with human barbarians.
Sounds like a good idea

Of course, now the Contest is closed, i think of a much better wonder

The Labyrinth.
(though this could be unique Belseraph building/national wonder)
require: Chaos mana, Earth mana, Nature mana
effect: most simply, gives a great defensive bonus to the city it houses (300%)
it has random effects which change over time, from producing a random resource, to giving random promotions to units built in the city, to giving experience to units, to acting as a planar gate...

:deal: Hey, is advertising allowed?:deal:
:dunno: :hmm:

Now barbarians are orcs because they resemble the wild brothers of the Clan but surely there is a need for other kinds of barbs too.

How about a unit with an obscure affinity? The Opium Dealer from the contest could gain incense affinity, or the likes of Confessors could gain it. A jeweled golem could have affinity for Gems. Perhaps a Giant Clam sea unit with 1 move, 0/1 strength and affinity for Pearls - a Lanun unique, naturally, well suited to defending sea resources. Even some sort of shoal with affinity for Fish :)

Aww man, too late for this probably, but it would be nice to have a whole civ whose units were based on affinity.

I think the Malakim would be a great choice for this. All their units would start with a very weak strength, but they could all have a +1/+2 Sun Mana Affinity. To balance this out, the units with +2 Sun Mana Affinity would have a -1 Affinity to the opposite enemy node (Shadow if that's going to be a mana source).

Of course, to make their own apocalyptic fight, you could have the Svartalfar (and maybe the Sidar?) have the opposite idea. So you're constantly battling to destroy the enemies' nodes, and building your own.
