I just checked them and I have to say: WOW! Impressive!
Please, keep making them! ;)

I didnt start them, as I wanted to finish the animations for those Models I have.
But the Albanians are next on my list... ;)

Cool dude, I have patience. I'm confident when you finish them they'll be great!

Great work seZereth... I love those Austrians! :goodjob:

I noticed you used the "Infantry" animations for both the "early" and "late" troop types... ever thought about using the "Rifleman" animations for the early and the "Infantry" animations for the late type? That would help give the guys an even more "differant" look instead of them all carrying their weapons the exact same way.

thats not true. in this version there is a folder with "oromo". smitty and me decided we give the oromo warrior animation to the later ones, it looks cool ;)

(I offered him to use Rifleman animation, but we went for infantry=early and oromo=late. the fact that there is an infantry animation for late is because I had all units on Infantry before discovering the oromo ;))

Ah... okay... I guess I hadn't even noticed that... well, that's cool.

Can you post some screen shots cause I can't d/L it cause I only have dial-up at the moment.
Here's the Austrian Infantry and Machine Gunner... most of the others are in screenshots on previous pages.

Wow those units are awesome. How do you prefer to make the .dds's, with Nifskope, or with an image editor?

I use Adobe Photoshop 7 to paint them, while viewing the unit in Nifskope.

Where'd you get the texture files? My download only has the nifs sans textures.

They are in the "shared" folder included in the zip ;)

seZereth... not to be picky, but I noticed some "see-through holes" in the boots of the Austrian troops (both infantry and MG... shared textures of course). Can't really see them from a top-down (normal) view, but you can definately see them using the free cam or Civilopedia... kinda diamond shaped.

Hardly a deal-breaker, but just pointing it out if you wanted to touch that up.

Excellent models of course!

P.S.
GeoModder... seZereth didn't include the texture for the MG itself (the hardware)... you of course already have that texture from the default MG though... just include that with any MG troop you use.

Gosh, I really didn't realize that! :deadhorse:

:sarcasm:

Good for you. After download I did try a random 'shared' texture in a nif folder of the package, and since it didn't seem to 'unpink' any unit in it I just left it at that. Guess by chance I picked a wrong texture for the folder I tried it in.

the shared folder belongs into the assets/art/ folder and then all respective nifs will use the .dds in the shared folder. this saves some disc space and might even speed up the performance.

Wow, you go overseas for 2 weeks and look what happens!!

In case you didn't notice - I'm back. I managed to get some of the tedious work done on the mod on the 36 hr plane rides... most buttons are done, and a lot of XML work too. Now I have to sift through all this new stuff....;)

Where'd ya go, Smitty?
