Alerum68, I pulled back on many of the courthouse builds in our new conquests as corruption was rather minimal there, and more urgent builds were needed - aqueducts, minimal culture (libraries). Courthouses will be revisited as the cities grow. For our more developed core, I did build a couple police stations, but they didn't seem to have any effect on the corruption. I guess we need more cities!

Most of the core was balancing builds between workers and rifles for MP in our new cities.
Building up MP to drop some luxuries may have some value, but I like having luxuries around. I love having we love the king days across our empire! Talk about minimizing corruption!
As for more conquests, it seems we are all itching for a bit more action. Let me say this. Through trades I was only able to get us to 7 luxuries. There is a luxury out there not available to us. I say we determine which it is, pick a keeper of it, and "acquire" this luxury to round out our collection. And remember, as we head toward space, there is always a chance we'll come up short of a needed resource. Can anyone say more war opportunities?
Of course, we could always rid the world of some civs which will never prove to be decent trading partners - Mongols, Byzantines, Vikings, Romans.
Regardles, if we want to battle, we need to build out some galleons and frigates for a navy.
