DGIT # 2-Krafty Koreans

At beginning of my turns:
2 Spaceship parts completed, 3 building

Cheju builds Intelligence Agency

1834
1836
Spaceship Engine Complete
1838
We get COmputers==>Miniturization
SS Fuel Cells Complete
Manhattan Project in Seattle
Sci slider up to get MIniturization in 5
Set Agade to build SETI
1840
SS Life Suport
1842
1844
Spain wants World Map and medicine for her World map...take a hike lady.
1846
Persians want MPP + ROP...take a hike
Celts demand Espionage.....take a hike(what nerve)
1848
MInitaurization ==>Satellites due in 4
1850
Chonju set to internet, its due in 13 as is SETI
1852 </got nuthin>

Satellites now due in 3
5 spaceship parts complete, 5 to go
We need Ecology, Nuclear Power, Laser, Syn Fibers, Robotics + Satellites
minimum of 23 turns.

I'm afraid our golden age, SETI and Internet will be of little use to us.
That being said we're 3 players from being done.
Also, the palace got built somewhere, because I didn't look carefully on the pre-turn. I set a lot of cities on wealth to speed my turns up.

Next....

Sounds like we're cooking with gas!

1)SolarKnight
2)SandrockLQ - just played
3)SpikeIt - Up
4)-Oblivion- On Deck
5)alerum68
6)Smellincoffee

7)Blasphemous

Three more players...then depending on tech research times, either Alerum or I will finish it off. :D

If each person takes ten turns, and the last spaceship part is less than 7 turns, than it should fall to alerum.

Got It. I'll try and squeeze some turn in tonight, but don't expect a post until tomorrow night at the earliest. Father's Day and all... and I'm the father this year. I have a feeling all those cards about turning my dad gray (but wasn't it worth it?) are going to start coming back and biting me over the years... Oh well.

BTW, How dare the Celts demand Espionage?!

Oh, and great job on the site there, SmellinCoffee. Looks really nice. Although I do protest about being the most experienced member... I just have lots of time to read SG's of the masters while at work. I think Alerum or Blas would take the experienced title from me, easy. But I couldn't resist a DG game where they actually wanted a Monarch player to join. ;) What the wife doesn't know won't hurt her, right?

Well, I couldn't think of anything else to say. :p

(Kidding. )
Have a happy father's day, though.

Me? Experienced?
Wow, I'm honored... I sitll view myself as a struggling newb. xD

Speaking of Alabama-ness... Played a couple of turns last night. Is every boat named Alabama? :p I may have to start renaming them the New Jersey. ;) Anyway, there's one less as a Persian Frigate got the best of (one of ) the Alamaba. But no fear, the Frigate attacked another Alabama and was sunk. The Sweet Home Alabama is currently in port healing up. :D Oh, and one of the SRKS something or others sank a pirate! Ooh scary... I see we have tactical nukes too. Wonder what those are for?

Hoping to finish my turns late this evening... we'll see.

Cool :D

I think we should open up a DGIT discussion thread. It would be a lot cleaner than discussing the next game in here, and we could use it for general stuff.

Why don't you do the honours Sandrock, since you are the founder and all :worship:

I know for sure I want to try the leap to Emperor, and I realize some of you don't. I think, since we were already talking about splitting the team in 2 for the next one, and having shadow games of each other, that we should have one game Emperor and, one game Monarch(y) :p. We'd need to make sure there were 4 willing to try Emperor though. I know I want to do it, and I'm pretty sure that SpikeIt is up to it, being in Gram 2.0 and all... if that's the case, who are the brave other 2 who are willing to leap to Emperor with me?

Sorry Oblivion, you just reminded me with your comment...

What do you mean? What happens when you try?
Answer me! :p
I wanna use our own forum. We're growing, it seems. ;)

I'll play DGT3 on Emperor if we play it with two teams at different difficulties.

I'm willing to try emporer, I'm already working towards beating it.

If just a couple more people wanna play at Emperor, I think the two teams would have to be at the same difficulty level, and we would probably want to rename the team Deities In-Training since DG will be just a bit too close for comfort. =P

Then we'd no longer be DGT. We'd be...DT. Or DIT, for those of you who include the I. Do we really want to be called DIT? Or worse, SIT? No thanks, I like DGT. ;)

Speaking of Alabama-ness... Played a couple of turns last night. Is every boat named Alabama?

I think there's seven destroyers named after members of the team, but... ;)

It won't let me log on Blas... it's been a while, so let me try again and see what it gets, but it wouldn't take my username for some reason.

So we have Myself, SK, Blas, and MAYBE SpikeIt for Emperor? Is that all? And we can still call ourselves DGIT after we beat the DG level... because we haven't beaten DG on every varient... when we do that, then we'll have to change the name.:p

Look around. Quite the navy we have. Rome has money. Trade Rome Medicine for 52gpt and 63 gold. A little cash to deal with other deals this round.
Trade Medicine to Spain for 10gpt and 23 gold.

IBT
Dang Japanese cancelled our Furs for Silks deal... We'll renegotiate on our turn. Hes asking for Medicine, Steam, furs and ivory for his silks. I'd rather have the chance to trade Steam myself, gready bugger.

A few pollution and sit through we love the king days ending... Yawn.

[1] 1854
Push coast guard out to watch over our oceans instead of just our coast.
Attack Persian Frigate with a privateer and lose.
Spend time watching workers do something... Presumably they are on pollution patrol - yup, thats confirmed.
Get Japanese silks for furs, ivory, Steam Power (no one else can pay who doesn't have it), and 100 gold.

IBT
Left a privateer exposed. Persian Frigate attacks and dies!
We love the king everywhere again...

[2] 1856AD
Wow! Moving coast guard around. And spot a pirate! Okay. So its someone's privateer. But kind of amusing.

IBT
Satellites comes in. The world is revealed.
Start on Ecology, due in 4.
Seattle starts SS Thrusters due in 4.

[3] 1858AD
The SRKS Seoul sinks the Pirates.

IBT

[4] 1860AD
The SRKS Smellincoffee sinks another pirate off the coast of Persia.
Trade Japan Medicine for 11gpt and 25 gold. How nice of the Korean people!

IBT
Infrastructure or wealth being built.

[5] 1862AD
Naval net continues...
The SRKS Shipsinker lives up to its name and sinks a pirate ship.
Lux deal with Celts is up. If I don't renew, they will likely break in the turn in between.
Brennus lacks gold though, so he'll want tech. Persia has gold. Lots of it.
So, let's end the deal with Brennus.
Trade Steel to Persia for 127gpt, 149 gold,Fascism, and WM.
Trade Steel, Furs, and Ivory to Brennus for Incense, Spices, 11gpt, and WM.

IBT

[6] 1864AD
AI seems to be tightening up on using fixed gold in deals. Rome has extra dyes now. Since Persia luxes are due in 2, lets grab it.
Industrialization, furs, and ivory for dyes. We're the worlds trading partner!

IBT
Ecology comes in. Start on synthetic fibers - due in 4.
SS Thrusters complete. Only 4 parts left.
Note that we have no spies!! How can that be?

[7] 1866AD
Plant spy in Rome for 100.
Tried to plant in Entremont, and our spy was killed. Ooops.
Plant spy in Kyoto for 134.
Plant spy in Persepolis for124.
Upgrade all infantry for Mech Infantry for 4800 gold.
Deal with Persia due next turn.

IBT
Persia ends our deal. We're pulling in a mere 46 gpt now! Horrors.
Aha! The Celts learned Refining, so its fair game to trade to Persia. We want the gold. The world trades with Korea, not the Celts.
Trade Refining, furs, ivory, 1300 gold for gems.

[8] 1868AD
Moving along...

IBT
Seti is built.
DGIT2_1868AD_Seti.jpg

[9] 1870AD
Not much

IBT
Watch the Japanese wooden navy move around. There's a pirate in Japanese waters. I'll leave it for someone else...

[10] 1872AD
Plant spy in Entremont for 132 gold.

Okay. That was a boring set of turns. As set up by Sandrock, most cities are on wealth. There are some ICBM's around, cruise missles, etc. We have spies in the civs who count. Not much left to build unless you feel like taking the time. Synthetic Fibers is due in 1. Have fun thinking about our next game while your workers move about.

As for DGiT3 - count me in for Emperor. I'm definitely game. If we want to discuss over in the Red forums, that's fine with me as well. I'm registered, so I presume I'll be able to log in again.

[dance]  We're almost there! I got it! And will try and finish tonight, tommorow at the latest. We better hurry up and finish the DGIT3 talk.

Edit: Sorry for that Oblivion, got a little too happy there... it's your 10, not mine. Some suggestions though... Set Umma for a space part prebuild, as well as marking Suwon as a space spart pre-build as well. We should use Seatle for one of the Synthetic Fiber prebuilds. We don't have anything else set aside for a prebuild so throw it on any current ICBM build. The other cities won't matter, and the internet comes in 2 turns which will ensure that we'll have 4 turn tech rate.

Edit2: Take all my suggestions, and forget about 'em. Just use all the tanks to finish off as many builds as you can, make sure that as many cities as can be are set to wealth as can be. Set at least 5-10 cities to ICBM, and see how things turn out. We'll enter a GA on Oblivions second turn, which means my prebuild suggestions are pretty much useless. You'll have to find some good prebuilds yourself. Try and time them to build 1 turn after we learn the tech.

I'd personally prefer to get all of my SGs on the same forum...we're not THAT big, guys. :p

I suppose I could tolerate emperor...but don't blame me if we're squished before we research iron-working.
