DGIT # 2-Krafty Koreans

Here's the current Roster. Oblivion dropped out of another SG I'm in with him, and he made it sound like he was going to quit SGs. Don't know for sure, but if we don't hear from him soon, we should consider ourself down a man...

Nah, i am still alright in my other two SGs, i just don't have the time to commit to a full fledged TDG. To fully participate in that, i would need a lot more time to make comments etc.

Im most definetly not quitting SGs i assure you ;)

I think that roster is right, so onto to Sandrock !

Good to see you're still with us. :D

Sandrock has been gone for almost a week now guys. I hate to sound like a jerk, but if y'all know you're going to be a gone for a bit, would you mind letting the group know? And if he hasn't posted a got it by tommorow, should we skip?

I think you just want to use that army SK left for you.

It's been six days, I suppose that's long enough to merit a skip. He may be having a bad week or something, so I'm sure he wouldn't mind someone taking his turn -- DGT1 almost died when no one wanted to skip Constantine and Resistor, so we let the save sit for two weeks, until I got went ahead and played. I wouldn't want that to happen again. :o

Cool. I'll tell you guys now, if I haven't posted a got it in 48, go ahead and skip me. I have no problems with that... may want to swap when I come back though.:p

Nice little wall of knights there. :D Since we've made contacts, I say we should rid the world of the Byzantines and Mongols. Sure, we get a little benefit for research, but wouldn't our continent look so much better in Korean blue?

I still have yet to look at the save, but that mini map from alerum's pic shows their may be some islands out there yet. Luxuries perhaps? Sounds like there are luxes to trade for too. Nice.

As for Sandrock, I'm going to wait a day or two before I take my turn. It may have been 6 days since he's posted, but its only been a couple since the game was posted. He doesn't chime in a ton in between turns, but he's usually around once his turn is up. It was kind of set up in his rules for DGIT at the start of this thread that there were not strict turn around times for this game. If he doesn' t grab the game by Tuesday, I'll pick it up.

Okay, just as long as we don't wait to long... this game is really getting good to me, (love building) and just can't wait for it to come around again. hehehe. And sandrock may not post much in between turns, but he hasn't posted at all in a week, and that's not normal for him... at least not that I've seen. Again though, I'm willing to wait as long as the team feels we should.
BTW- I'm looking for Wheel of Time fans to help me for ideas with a MOD if anoyone's interested.;)

Let's keep the dicussion going though. Don't want it to die. :)

I'm still around, and I got it, but I won't make my turns until Thusday, because of work. And its not unusual for me to go a while without posting. I've read most of the posts up to this point, and it looks like a simple set of turns. Are there any really pressing issues that I need to look out for on my turns(such as accidentially triggering our golden age?) It seems like the theme here is court hopuses and police stations. And I'll try to trade some techs if I can swing it.

Well, there's a really big army up in the north I think someone wants you to use.

To avoid triggering our GA, just don't build any Hwach'as and don't bother with any scientific or commercial wonders. What wonders HAVE we built/captured, anyway?

Sandrock - Aaah. I knew you were out there somewhere. :D

I agree the focus is on infrastructure. Continue courthouse and police station builds for corruption control.

Alerum had some good commentary, including the builds of workers to quickly increase production across the empire and to ready ourselves for RR builds. Also, he mentioned a Newtons build which would probably make sense.

Re: wonders. We already have a scientific wonder - The Great Library. So a commercial wonder will trigger our GA. I'm unsure whether we captured one (did the Byzantines have one?) If we did capture one, then any wonder build will trigger our GA. If we build Smith's we will trigger our GA, but timed around the time of RR and factory builds this could be very helpful.

Anyways, you only have 10 turns. I say build infrastructure, scope out power cities in our empire (or better sites for us to move cities to), and continue to explore the seas. There may be hidden luxuries out there to acquire. Oh yeah, and have fun! :)

If we have built/captured both Scientific and Commercial wonders, keep away from all wonders, cause the next one we build will trigger a premature GA.

One thing I think we really need to do is skim the workers off the cities I listed in my post. They'll allow us a worker a turn, and will always stay at the same size. Other then that, there isn't much that needs to be done.

Will do. Feels good not to have to worry about combat for a change.

Here are the cities I was talking about for the workers Sandrock... Have fun!

Seoul (nothing to build after courthouse)
Hyangsan (Courthouse, can switch after that)
Atlanta (On Bank, could build colo, but doesn't need)
Namp'o (Is a military building city, but not very good at it)
Wonson (Is building military as well, much better at it - 20 shields PT)
Washington (Building bank can switch after)

Happiness is an issue. I though most of the cities would stop rioting once we were in communism, but there are quite a few cities with smoke rising from them. I also lost about 4-7 buildings to rioting during the anarchy, my bad. We amy need to trade for luxuries just so we can keep science at a decent rate, turn a profit, and build a spaceship.

Save in next post.

BTW, the forums are supposed to be down for quite a bit this weekend. If you want to run your turns SpikeIt while the forums are down, go right ahead. It will also help make up for the time it took me to take my turns.
