Am I the only one on still on dial-up?

leave. now.

Join us. Trust us; the Grass really is greener.

My internet connection consists of a large troop of swallows carrying 5 inch floppy disks to and from my ISP. It's slow, but still faster than 56k.

Cable, have had it for about 9 months.

High speed

DSL, and since I am only like 4 blocks from the hub it is realy fast.
faster then cable at certain times of day,

But in the next few years i get to get fiber optic internet. Actually all of the cable in north west IL is branched off of fiberoptic lines.

I've finally joined the ranks of those that can actually get things done. Wireless connection here...cable on the other computer. Ditched 56k with the move in July.

Switched to DSL in February. Don't know how I ever got along without it...

Dial-up at home.

High-speed on campus.

(Is this a surprise? I've been a member since '02 but only started posting in OT a month or so ago!)

Cable :cooool:

28K Dial up. :(

I want braodband, but stupid telstra didn't plan on anyone living in the (very livable) area i'm living in. Ever.

You are not alone! Me too!

But not I am not so silly as to waste my valuable free time at home, surfing Internet forums... :ack: :p

Shouldn't you be working :mischief:

i'm not an amish

The local internet provider dind't think there would be much internet usage where they lived, so the cables they layed down can only support 28K internet Dial-up.

There have been rumours of broadband , though
