Did Adam (of Adam and Eve) do humanity a favor by getting kicked out of the Garden of Eden? I mean, look at all the wonder things you see in the world today. They wouldn't exist if we don't have sin.

Did you forget that we would be immortal if he hadn't gotten kicked out?

Come on Perfection. Even if you're athiest, this is assuming that you believe the story. I'm christian myself, and I don't believe the story, but I responded accordingly. Posts like that are useless and are just increasing post-count. I'm not trying to flame or troll, but it's really not necessary.

True enough... if Adam didn't eat the fruit, we'll still be herding animals naked.

I'm not religious, but I often wonder what God has in his plan for we humans, had Adam resisted the temptation.

Adam and Eve got expelled for violating environmental laws--they picked fruit from an extremely rare, protected tree, and they also stepped on an endangered species of snake. :p

Why don't you believe it, as a Christian? Jesus said He believed it. Check out Matthew 19:4 "And He (Jesus) answered and said to them, 'Have you not read, that He which made them at the beginning made them male and female...?' " Or as Mark 10:6 puts it, "But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female."

Did Adam do us a favour? Depends. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, yes.
:)

But then we wouldn't know that such wonders could exist, and we wouldn't miss them. And there are enough natural wonders to put you in awe.

Actually, given that the Apple came from the tree of knowledge, had Adam not taken a bite, we would be immortal and blissfully happy, but complete idiots. Happy fools, in a way. :)
Now is it really better to be happy because you don't know anything ? I don't think so.

It's such an irony that the first humans that God supposedly created, didn't were religious and disobeyed God's "orders".

Humans want to experience and learn about anything they possibly can, due to their intelligence; maybe God shouldn't gift them with intelligence if he wanted to be obeyed by his slaves.

Adam and Eve where "guests" in Paradise, I mean, Paradise was God's home/temple. From this point of view, they didn't followed the owner's rules and God had the right to kick them out.
Eventually, Adam and Eve would want their own home/shelter, because um.., there are private moments you know, and constantly beign under God's monitor is a bit annoying. Let alone the fact that everybody actually wants to own a property and be the ruler of it(and not having to follow orders).

Summary: Adam and Eve took the right path.

It was a set up so if Adam hadn't take the apple, God would only have created the Choco-bar of knowledge or the don't walk on the left foot day of knowledge until Adam made a misstake...

I don't think that he did do us a favor. I would have provided an explanation, but I won't because Perfection keeps blasting my ideas and bullying me, and because my ideas are "too far out" for your minds to comprehend.

Yes, it was a set up, indeed!
After all, God already knew what was about to happen, and he made sure that it would happen.
To be honest, God lost his quiet, having Adam and Eve running all the day all along the Paradise and make like a ton of questions to him.

I totally agree with that! :D

Well the choice is between being animals or humans.
Without the apple of wisdom and insight we would still live happy in paradise, but would be as dumb as the people in any big brother tv show.
With the apple we evolved into what we are: thinking, questioning, responsible to fight and work hard for any piece of paradise.
Which of them is the better one? Well, considerung the fact that more and more people getting dumber and dumber he could left the apple where it was. This way we could enjoy our dumbness in paradise instead of in a increasing mad world.

But i don't believe i this story. Maybe it was the first glorification of stupidity in litrature. The insight that evil and bad things in the world only really bothers you when you know and think about it. Someone who does not know it and is unable to think about it just enjoys life and scratching himself where and when he want.

Oh well, it is how it is.

Lest we forget, it was Eve who liberated humankind from the monster who would have humans remain ignorant and bow down to for eternity. Give credit where credit is due.

Yes, but this wouldn't just be "any big brother tv show": it would be called "Paradise's Big Brother"!
Anyway, according to "as dumb as the people in any big brother tv show" opinion, those people are the TRUE descendants of Adam and Eve, which I agree with.

It could be an option, I guess. Just look how many people are waiting to die, so they can go and enjoy Paradise, and they're missing the real life's enjoyments.

It was all a set up by Allah in order to test man and see who really deserves paradise and who does not. But if Satan hand not been put on this earth with us, our history would of been a lot more peaceful and progressive.

By the way we are not angles we are humans and we make mistakes...its part of our lives. Allah wanted to see how far man could go...with the guidance of Allah.
