Did you guys(the C2C team) run into a problem with music?

Well, whenever I listen to the in-game music it plays normally.
But I don't use it generally that long - after 5 minutes or so it gets really boring;

so disabling sounds in menu and having a music player like foobar, VLC or winamp installed + tuning in to some creativity-enhancing internet radio (Psychedelicized Radio is very neat) provides much more fun for hour-long eternity games... just sayin'...

I usually do that myself, but I wanted to have a soundtrack for my mod, for example I've added tracks to the Ancient, Classical, Medeival, Renaiissnce, and Industrial eras, while I completely replaced the Modern soundtrack. My goal was less eurocentricism, which is how the standard soundtrack is post Classical.

But the Middle ages onward isn't playing in game, and I have no idea why(All three xml that control sound look fine.)

You'd need to ask AIAndy about that kind of stuff, he did C2C's switch of music and ls612 did the era stuff.

i haven't run into any problems with Music so far also my PC is unable to run Both C2C and Winamp (or any other program for that matter) at the same time

You aren't doing the music/sounds in a WoC modular form are you? That does not work. All the audio defines have to be in the XML/Audio folder. I think they have to be in just the standard xml files in that folder also.

Yeah, none of the xml is modular or in the modules foldier, its either in Xml/Audio(for the Audiodefines and Audio2DScripts, or in Xml/gameinfo for the erainfos xml.

Why don't you post the XML in question, it might be something is simple as a spelling error.

I'm not seeing any problems with it - except the ' in the id names but I don't think that is a real problem. I am dyslexic so someone else may be able to see what is happening better.

I'm not sure but that actually could be an issue. Non alphabetic characters can cause some interesting issues in the wrong spots.

I changed the xml and the name of the file itself, still no music in the middle ages onward....

Any other xml that could be interfering? I tried my soundtrack in another mod, as an experiment, and it worked fine :crazyeye:

I just re-looked and you dont have the AS2D stuff in the AudioDefines area. You only have them in the 2Dscripts area.

Also to be sure they are loading correctly they should be AFTER the regular sounds, no biggy, but just is better that way for some reason.

I moved the song references to be after the normal ones, still no change.

I just find it weird that its medival onward. Must be something in the erainfos I think...regarding all song references middle ages and after...

You do know they need to be in the 2Dscripts and ALSO the AudioDefines files correct, both need to be there.
