Well, guess what, folks?
I'm at war again. I've scarcely been playing FIVE MINUTES.
The last update was in the year
1776; the minute I end my turn and try to move the game to
1778, Queen Isabella gets in my face about that one Greek Army that's still in her territory, one tile short of the border. As if completely oblivious to the fact that I already beat the bejeezus out of her, and also to the fact that the Army to which she refers is within immediate striking distance of her last city, she gives me that holier-than-thou diatribe about how I'm a warmongering fool who will be held responsible for the bloodshed.
She turns out to be right. It's just that I don't care.

Isabella is dealing with somebody who isn't exactly concerned about his image in the eyes of the world, and so her boisterous words will prove to be her destruction.
My Army needs two moves to get at Seville, and so it can only attack once. It kills a Pikeman, but alas, another Pike is still in the city. I think I can handle waiting one more turn to eliminate the Spanish.
In
1778 AD, after an agonizing
ONE FULL TURN of waiting....
Six civs remain. Me, Rome, and Persia are the big players. The French, Russians, and Turks are actually dead, just that they haven't stopped twitching yet.
Time for a big military buildup. As in, big enough so I can stomp on people at the frenetic pace I want, without stretching my forces as if they were Angelina Jolie's swimwear.....
Okay, NOW I'm at peace again. Hold your breath, that could change any second.....
Back into the game. Further updates later tonight.
