Different Versions in Same Multiplay Game + Simultaneous Turns

Is it at all possible for a person with Gods & Kings installed to multiplay with a person who only has the original version (by limiting the game parameters)? {btw, I don't think it is but thought I'd ask, just in case

Also, I'm really craving some kind of guidance about how the simultaneous turns in multiplay are different from sequential turns---tips, advice, specific "warnings", etc....

Yes...

Be the host, get a fast computer and fast fingers...

If you play defensively, try to fortify 4-5 turns before an attack all your melee units to get maximum bonus.

You can also make double moves but the majority of players don't play with this kind of crap.
