Seriously, I'm really bored right now, looking at my games collection, on PC or consoles, it's not the biggest thing ever but I certainly have a lot of games, but it seems I don't want to play any of them. I'm also a huge music junkie and I collect vinyls and haul records from obscure records stores downtown... I just remember when I was a young teenager and would only listen to that one album for like months, learning every word, going nuts over details...

Now though, I'm older, I just buy MORE music, MORE games, and I still can't get the same lifetime for these products anymore. I mean, I can sure recognize a great album or a great game and I'll enjoy them, but it's just... Why do I need to buy another one like one week later? Jayzsus.

Man I'm bored. Every time I think I finally decided to pick up a game and play, I change my mind. Like just now, I was going to play Europa Universalis III, a great game. but went "meh" and immediately started reading about some other games I don't have. Damn youuuuuuu!!!

Read moar books! And just pick up stuff deeply discounted on Steam/online. And don't buy stuff unless it has an uber high rating on Metacritic.

Play TF2. That's my man fallback and I usually end up having a good time. CnB FTW

Yeah I did that for like 4 months, but now I'm finding I have a harder time getting back into it. I play scout all the time, and it seems that once the scout update came out, the servers were overloaded with scouts everywhere and it made me stop playing... Maybe I should go back now if it has died down?

Oh I read plenty. I'm reading War and Peace right now, it's taking forever and by the time a character comes back, I basically have to go back to remember who the hell it was.

Final option would be to stick with a game you mostly like and get into modding it so it's always fresh.

Instead of spending money, maybe you could try some free games. :)

Nope!

How about trying a completely different game then what you're used to? If you like nice quiet nonviolent games, get the goriest FPS you can find. Or the opposite way around.
