Diplo for D'nut

If they already accepted the dyes, what are we going to send along this time?
There's a difference in the game mechanics in PBEM... we didn't "accept" the offer last time... so the deal wasn't done until I "accepted" their offer this turn.

Dear Doughnutians,

We have sent some dyes over to you as a gesture of good will. We are expecting some return on that gesture. We understand that gold, gpt, and cities are not a reasonable trade as none of them will increase either team and would actually hurt both teams. So here is our proposal...

We understand that there is a bug in the game mechanics that you can't trade workers until you both have a city on the same continent. So in a few turns (We'll let you know when it happens), we'll be placing a city on your continent. When this happens, we would like a worker in return for the dyes.

Also we would also like the following
1. Maximum intel regarding your borders with TNT and anything else you notice.
2. The capability to run units through Donut territory, if necessary.
3. Information regarding your beaker rate so we can adjust ours to time our co-research better.

Thank you,

Tubby

Positive response in return. Killercane is another high quality player for Donuts. He asked us to jump on the pile earlier and is no TNT Fan so I don't think they'll have any problem joining in on the fight.

Next thing we need to do is to find out when their treaty is over.

Thats good to hear, when you pass on the message we will send the workers. Also just to update you, as of this turn I am no longer Internal Affairs Minister. killercane will be taking over from me. Kuningas and Nobody remain in their current positions.

crap you beat me to it :gripe:

EDIT:: What might be fun is for us to negotiatea peace deal and then the next turn D'nut attack their southern cities

That could be a tactic in itself if could talk Nutters into it. We draw TNT units NE, make a mess, make peace, next turn Nutters attack a weak defended S drawing units there, make a mess, make peace, next turn we attack...you get the pic. Now, that would be hilarious  .

I'll try to catch the nut's in the next few days and propose such hilarity.

@Tubby, Daghie: Where have you guys been learning such devious, ruthless behavior? (Don't answer that...)

Hehe, worth looking into chaps :D

Hi.

I sent Monotheism in this turn. Next we do Theology.

I sent this out today

Deat D'nuts,

TNT is attempting to fight back. It would be very helpful if we could get some intel from your border with them. We would like to know the visible troop composition that you guys can see of the TNT forces.

Also it's good to hear that your scientist have completed the study of Monotheism. What science rate are you expected to run towards Theology? Next turn the worker should be able to be transferred for the dyes.

There has been no actual fighting last turn but that should change this next turn :) .

Thanks, Tubby

It seems there haven't been much activity in our forum recently. I give you dear allies as much information as possible.

Good to know that town on same continent does worker trade feasible.

1) Last turn TNT's military capacity changed now they are strong compared to us. Evident indication that they build a lot of units. Over my 20 turns reign in jungle were a bunch of pukes, 2 immortals, and 2 horses. There is no border between nations.

2) Sure.

3) Beyond 150 uncorrupted beakers per turn. At max science we would learn Theology in 7 turns. Actual time will be 12-18 turns. It depends how much we do need gold.

President Kuningas of the independent republic of Doughnutia.
I think that he was referring to this list

OK, I think it's about time we set up a big meeting with Nutters. Remember the one with MIA where Bede opened up his kimono and Chamnix wanted to play jigsaw? Oh, those were the days . Anyway, MIA is growing out of proportion and have started Pyramids and Colossus. If they get them (they will if we don't), they will be huge. I'm sure Nutters see this too. Our advantage on MIA is that we have a working relation with Nut's and they don't (we believe). I think we should discuss how to team up with Doughnuts in order to secure the survival of us both, and more, the victory for us :D.
Right now we have an agreement that stretches over the MA's. That's good.
How about offering them a deal that ends in space?
I've been advocating a run for domination, but some valid arguments against has been presented and MIA's growth is a bit more than expected perhaps. We ourselves has discussed the downside of growing too big (dogpile) and I think MIA is reaching some sort of critical mass powerwise, especially with those GW's kicking in.
One option to deal with this is to pursue a "Mano a Mano" together with Nutters. I think they would say No if we allowed any VC between the two of us, but if we restricted VC's to Space (and diplo :crazyeye:) they might consider it a chance to actually have a decent go at winning this.
I'd love to see our Generals team up with Kuningas/killercane and go wild on those Greeks. Maybe a twofront railway intrusion could be The Classic.

After reading the Donutian Gazzette, I think we can assume that the Donuts and MIA have a working relationship.

Yes, it would seem at the very least, they have a wine for ivory trade going. I wonder if D'nuts are aware that they've given out information we could not have known otherwise?

That's why we have to be very careful with our newspaper. The smallest tidbit might complete the puzzle for one of the other teams.

So have we reaceived any intel from our donutian friends lately. Things that would be nice to know:

1. How much time do they have left on their treaty?
2. Are they doing the demonstrations on the front?
3. Can they see any TNT units? If so, how many and what type?

Carrier Pigeon named George was sent today

Dear Doug H. Nuts,

We have a few questions for ya.

1. How much time do you have left on your treaty with TNT?
2. Are you doing the demonstrations on the front?
3. Can you see any TNT units? If so, how many and what type?
4. What are you researching and how long until completion?

Here is what we know. Invention will be due in ~ 6 turns. There is a TNT stack coming at us and we will deal with it in a few turns. We're trying to get a feel for how many units they have elsewhere so that we can surmise their cities' defense.

Stack composition (total = 14)
2 workers
5 vet pikes
2 reg pikes
1 elite Immo
1 vet Immo
3 reg Immo

Thanks, Tubby

gma, scout & I were discussing life, the universe and the meaning of everything and after figuring out that the answer was 42.... this question came up

Do you think that that we could get D'nut to pay for half of a steal from MIA?

How much does stealing a tech cost anyway?
