As far as their research goes we hope that we crippled their research partner TNT however MIA has beelined to unis and I'm sure they are being built. Our research partner is Donut and they have not been any great shakes on the research front.

In fact, that's another conversation...we need to ask Donut when they plan to crank up their research since they are really holding things up on the top half of the tree.

@JB if you have AIM or MSN we can fill you in on a lot of things.

MSN handles are better but AIM will get Fe3333au, Daghie and AK. I haven't reinstalled mine.

Emails are usually sent to our gmail box with official documents like saves, treaties and battle logs.

Do you know how to get into the team gmail account?

I have AIM, but I haven't used it since the last time I sat in on a diplo session with Fe and (I think) Whomp and AK a few months ago. My handle is gmaharriet (surprise), but you'd have to send me a PM via the board here to tell me to get my b*tt online.

If MIA is building universities, they may have signed their death warrant. That would be a wonderful waste of shields at this stage of the game.

The problems with fighting MIA anytime soon:

We have a substantial committment on The Other Continent
MIA has been spamming a tight city build on our southern border ("He is skilled in defense whose enemies know not what to attack...")
Aside from a contingent of Gallic Swords, we have no fast movers.

We do have a handful of Trebs and MDI in EWR and Senilityville...and I think I got a Pike into EWR.

I think it's important that everyone that has any contact with Nutters or MIA reads this, because this is full of lies and when you start lying you better keep track :crazyeye:

Basically I am saying that we have problems within team, i.e. warmongers vs. mm'ers, and that the situation has gotten out of hand. Therefore I am the new POTKISS (recommended by Whomp and Scout which makes 3 Idiots) whos job will be to unite these fringes. I also am implying that we are trading techs with Nutters piece by piece, that they are ok to deal with, but that I prefered the MIA alliance. I said we have peace for now...
Fe is told that I'am interested in picking up peace talks when the current treaty is about to expire. I also think Fe was trying to fish info on TNT's accout, but I just told him they are acting like a team, a stubborn team.
My aim was to push MIA towards an agreement with Nutters, that we can work out in collaboration with Doughnuts. I painted the picture that we know nothing about a Doughnut attack on TNT, even if we invited them earlier on. Both Fe and I agreed that Nut's should take the opportunity to gain land.
Conclusion: We're in civil war, I'm the new POTKISS, Nutters are almost ok to deal with and we are peaceful dudes (soon will be anyway).

Hehe...it's in the books Daghie. Maybe we could play it off in public threads that I have too much going on with summertime and Holly marriage stuff but in private give MIA misinformation that is was really a coup.

I think we've found MIA's opiate and its tech. They want to build libraries and unis towards their trait. If we can get Donut to engage them on the tech side there's less chance of MIA attacking Donut at an inopportune time. The only thing I can see derailing our mission is a war where MIA attacks Donut. Our agreement with Donut takes precedence over our deal with MIA.

I have an idea...(tm) tell me if it's too complex or if we can construct this differently.

MIA needs to kick off a GA. MIA has a commercial wonder and needs a scientific one. Great Lib makes no sense for them so that leaves Newton's and Theory of Evolution. ToE is still a long ways away. Newton's is at theory of gravity.

Here's my thinking....get Donut to convince MIA that they're secretly stabbing us in the back on techs and we're not so happy and on top of it they jumped on the pile by joining the war with TNT :mischief:

which we didn't want them to do (spoils go to victors, right?).

So Donut convinces MIA to research the top half of the tree and go education to astro to physics to theory of gravity to give them their opiate and a GA.
Donut trades some techs on the bottom half that we traded to Donut. Invention and probably powder (make it look like a backstab on us). Donut can get chivalry and education in return and start research, in earnest, banking. This is where it ends with MIA and Donut. Banking could be traded for astro but our goal is to get MIA to research the rest of the bottom half.

All the while we are going powder to chem to metal to MT and Donut gets peace from MIA while they research for them.

Guess I'm wondering why it would look to be a "back-stab", since MIA doesn't know about our tech-trading deal with Dnuts through the end of the MA. I believe we (Daghie) told Fe we were negotiating tech trades individually. We'd have to come up with something for Dnuts to convince MIA that there were strings attached to those trades. :hmm:

Not at all. And if we time it right we hit them when they are in the middle of Newton's, or a prebuild, with way too many shields invested to dump it. That will take their most productive town right off line.........

I like the part of Whomps idea to keep greeks away from Cavs, once we have them MIA will suffer a lot till get some apropriate defense.

But we must take it carefully as well, because MIA may think: "well, once everyone in this game is tryng to piss on Kisses, let us be the 3rd to join the party".

I dont know too many people round here to take the diplomacy, and sometimes its hard to talk to you

hehehe, but I think we are able to build this scenario in this Riks World

I recommend not being too explicit about the alledged turmoil within our camp. If it were true, we would try to hide it best we could so let's pretend to do just that. I think what I said to Fe is enough to have them smelling opportunities, and I'm sure they are preparing for a new request to Doughnutters to join them in some way. I would like us to share with D'nuts what I told Fe the other day so we're on the same page vs. MIA.

I got WoooOoOOOoOt from Mistfit. He also taught me that the variations the capitialization indicates excitement as does the length. I've discovered that more than ~11 'o's are an exacteration (sp?). a mild yeah would be written as "woot"
