Can you please respond to our previous message ... even if it is get stuffed MIA bastards.

The point of the previous letter was to inform you that we believe that Nuts are double dealing us both and gaining virtually free technology.

If allowed to conduct business in this manner they will undoubtedly win the game through deception and treaty breaking ... is this what you want?

Winning or Losing the game is NOT the issue ... I'd prefer the team that eventually wins, does so honourably.

MIA is in the position that they will win the game if D'nuts and KISS don't get along. Of course Fe wants to spread doubts about Nut's honouring deals, and from MIA's horizon it may even look like there's something fishy going on from Nut's. That's good!

Chamnix is ticked and we would be as well.

They lost their research partner and then turned to the Nutters to lock things up vs. Kiss. They really did beat us to the punch. And then, by all appearances, The Nuts dealt behind their backs.

Now if I looked over the treaty I would bet that Nutters found that following it to the letter of the law would have spelled an MIA victory. And the only place I could fault MIA for would be being a little too greedy.

Hmm...galleon moving towards Donut, fear of a domination victory, request for extended peace....interesting....hmm. I'm inclined to extend till Donuts peace which is turn 178 (ish)

We haven't always seen eye-to-eye – but on the matter of the rapidly expanding Dnut Empire, I hope we can agree that they present a grave threat.

It isn't good for either of our teams to watch as an aggressive Agricultural people race towards securing nearly an entire continent with their Pyramids and Commercial ability to back up their effort and rapidly make their new towns productive… all the while they remain militarily unchecked.

The Nuts are drawing very close to domination of a whole continent… it spells dark days ahead for the Green Continent.

Our forums have been as active as they have ever been with debate on how to proceed after our 1000 Monkeys Treaty expires, and this has preoccupied our attention. We therefore wish to broach the idea of extending our peace deal that is set to expire at the dawning of turn 166.

Can there continue to be peace between our peoples?

Could you send replies to MIA g-mail as I will be away from my home computer and only able to login infrequently until next week.

We're at turn 164 right now. Nutters have said they cannot attack until 177. Our peace with MIA expires at 166. MIA is likely to have rifles anyday now.
One option is to extend the MIA peace 10 turns at the time which would time Nut's possible attack nicely. That would give MIA 10 more turns to build up Rifles. Another is to hit before that, trying to conquer their Salt and basically hold them off until The Bakery Boys jumps 'em.

To tell the truth, I don't think we've discussed any specific war plans against MIA since before we signed a 50-turn treaty with them on April 1 (our highest religious holiday, April Fool's Day). We've mostly just been sending units to our southern border and fortifying those towns a bit.

Most of our plans have been diplomatic with both MIA and the Nutters. It might not hurt for us to make more plans in case the diplomacy falls through.

Should write some up and also write up some war plans which people would expect MIA to use-that way we'll know where to defend.

For instance while on TNT we did notice that none of the KISS northern towns were defended and i know information share and whatever but i have a feeling this may have a way of getting through to MIA, so should be ready for a sea attack.

Daggie, rifles don't require saltpeter. Basically nothing after cavalry does IIRC. So getting their salt won't help much except limit their attacking power

I'm not sure they've hooked up their salt. Didn't we have word they were building knights?

I think we should extend the peace at least until we're comfortable on our own homeland.

I'm comfortable, but I've also made some stupid mistakes. Some of the warmongers need to open the save and let me know where to put units and/or let us know what the comfort level is.
